Those were cold war eras that countries weren't totally independent, now everyone has the right to use any military hardware they deem fit. If russia feels threatened they align with countries near the US to set up their own missile sites but my problem all these countries will be the frontline and vulnerable to whatsoever will be spilling out in this war. Remember that the US can fight this war via proxy but russia haven't recuperated fully from the fall of USSR, when was the last time the russia developed an independent war tech if not via espionage and cyber attack from US blueprints?

U very very wrong. I believe the problem Russia has, is lack of a strong propaganda-ring media like America or even Iran. Thats why they are poorly understood. Becos of former USSR, Russia has critical infrastructure in Ukraine. eg a complex pipe network by Gasprom to supply Eastern Europe gas. Since it’s in Ukraine, they are taxed by the Ukraine govt for using d facility. After taking tax, Ukraine divert gas meant for other countries for personal use. They have lost a case in EU court over dis. The Americans are d direct beneficiaries of the problems btw Russia and Ukraine cos it gives dem d opportunity to sell their exorbitant gas to east Europe. They wont want d trouble to end. They resisting Nord 2 yet want to put Ukraine into NATO. It will bring WW3. What did they do wen Russia tried to bring Cuba into USSR?
