When I arrived in Nigeria less than a month ago the trains were not working Abuja metropolitan and Lagos both of the train service were down here in Lagos ibadan at one time the train service was down when I arrived

The Metro in Abuja was stopped for a while due to Covid, moreso beause the trains in Abuja connects with the Airport and travellers from outside the country spread the disease more, but the trains would resume again January 2022. But what is your business with the trains though?

that is total expenditure to keep the ministry running .... Like I said earlier, we only budget for recurrent expenditure...

All infrastructure spending comes from appropriations ...


All govt does is, send an appropriation bill to parliament saying they placed to construction of this road or that railway in the budget and are coming to seek approval for money to be withdrawn from Ghana mineral investment fund or Petroleum funds or so many other sovereign wealth funds..



This is why Ghana spends more money on infrastructure development than your country every year....

So far, Ghana is doing 13 billion dollars while Kenya is doing 7 billion

All monies in every country are spent that way..you spend 300m dollars as capital expenditure..not recurrent expenditure.Read that pwc budget analysis.Kenya spend 2b dollar on roads.. nearly 10 times yours...this exclude private roads like expressway

Ghana is spending 3 billion dollars on road investment, 4 billion on railway investment and the rest of our 13 billion yearly invest goes to the Heath, education and other sectors of the economy......

The above is even separate from the 20 billion dollars my govt is investing into critical industries in my economy to expand them and get them ready for Africa free trade...

See how you are fumbling such that expressway are now private roads

Empty words not backed by empirical evidence.Yes you take 4yrs to build interchange..most expensive poukase at 100m..so basically you allocate 20m per year and things move at snail pace.Budget is total estimate..the appropriation is actual expenditure..generally you overbudget..for example in capital expenditure your budget 16b cedis but spent 12b cedis in 2021.Next respond with a link..not empty words

What's the next excuse for why Kenya can't make similar investment into it infrastructure to the extent that only 23% of your country is urban ?

You ignorance is no longer shocking.If a project like poukase interchange will take 3yrs the budget is split into 3yrs..gov doesn't bank money..it budget for what it will pay contractor that year..so 20m in 2018..mostly loans from Afdb..next year until it's over.

Pokuasi interchange is not a small project and it wasn't built with precast concrete for it to take less years ...

You can't use precast concrete in the area it was built because it will be unstable......

Naa, we ain't giving our monies to Chinese, we will give it to our own contractors.... Hence the money will create a multiple effect in our economy....


Only a fool will borrow money, give the project to a foreign contractor to take away and latter on pay it back with interest...

We've stopped doing that.
