Nigeria doesn’t even recognize Taiwan in the first place so as most African countries,infact I doubt any recognizes them and that’s because of our close ties with China borrowing from them

Imagine Nigeria recognizes Taiwan today,it would be suicide because we wouldn’t be able to run to them for money and they would start demanding for the repayment of what we borrowed which I’m pretty sure we can’t afford to pay back,which would lead to them seizes one of our assets
