Re: My Corolla 05 Car Is Stalling. by Dozieson(m):
Your mechanic no sabi anything

1. For code P0303- the third plug should be changed

2. For code 0353- third coil should be changed

Both code about are pointing to the third coil and plug. Maybe the wire is bad. Please tell your mechanic to check and test it properly

3. P0171- check your air filters to know the condition. If it is dirty, please change it

Again, the throttle body should be cleaned with the cleaner

With all these, you will be fine

I'm having similar problem though I just change the fuel pump once not satisfied with the performance.

How do you know what these codes stand for?

Is there a place I can learn?

I have first hand experience from my cars.

You can also google the codes online

How did you confirm the coil, plugs and injectors (nosule) are ok?

For P0353 4 things are involved. Plugs, coils, wiring and brainbox.
You need to test and confirm each of these to narrow down where the problem is.
My suggestion, swap coil and plugs from another cylinder to cylinder 3. If the fault remains then you know the problem is either on the wiring or the brainbox itself.

I would suggest you fix this first then worry about the P0171 lean code.
All the best.

Thanks bro. The coil was swap and the problem stopped.

Treat the p0171, the lean code go Dey throw random or multiple cylinder misfire

For to jiji, jumia or konga.

Type obd 2 Bluetooth car scanners on search.
Buy from the seller

Download obd 2 car scanner app on your phone

The scanner works with the app

Treat the p0171, the lean code go Dey throw random or multiple cylinder misfire
This is another angle too. But having looked at the code there is no P0300/random cylinder misfire.
The error code P0353 is specific to cylinder 3 circuit/wiring fault and therefore P0303.
Meaning there is an existing fault in that circuit.

So my assumption is the misfire "might" have caused the lean code.

They have swapped coils and he said the problem stopped. So I’d suggest he try the treating the lean code first
