For those Kenyans who come here supporting those white Youtubers showing the slums and poverty in Nigeria, watch this video from a Nigerian Youtuber to see how this American guy went to portray Kenya to the world.
You'll see some of these guys are just in for the poverty porn and it's not just about Nigeria but a quest to reinforce stereotypes so the western world would continue to feel superior as a superb race in the world.

Africa is poor. The west is rich. Those are not stereotypes - but yes we need more balanced reporting.
I dont think there is some conspiracy - some come for fun side of Africa - some come for poverty porn.

Bottomline: Once you fix your city like Kagame has done in Kigali - it's gonna be hard to do the poverty porn.

I get you. I am for balanced news. Slums and Posh areas of Africa should all be shown. I am not for hidding our ghettos. And I am not for making Africa look like one big ghetto. But is within out control how people want to potray us?
