It is because the Nigerian Army is a disciplined and elite force that does not pollute the Nigerian cyber space with gory data. These bandits are living deep in Northern villages where journalists are discouraged to penetrate therefore they rely on the military to give report on the security and as usual the military won't provide the data with gory images. Why you see the photos of dead terrorists in the South East is that the town's and villages are more developed than in the North so after an clash, journalists are there to collect any data they want.

We should also procure atleast two squadrons of the JF-17 instead of the 3 we currently have, and then buy more drones from China.

In the long run, we should be eyeing the proposed Chinese J-35 or J-20 (though I doubt China will ever sell the J-20 outside China).

Pakistan just got a squadron of those Chinese fighter jets.

But knowing Nigeria as a country where terrorists die and come back again and die again and come back again, several times, I beg to doubt the news.

If they claim that a leader had been killed, it means the body was seen dead, what's the difficulty in showing us his dead body? That dead body will inflict fear in other bandits and confidence upon the army and make the dwellers of that state feel a certain degree of protection; but hiding the body does no good.
