Yes, it is against standard practice for a private firm to collect state taxes at a whopping 10% commission. This high percentage was because there was no open and transparent bidding process and the beneficiary who decided the outrageous percentage was the governor at the time.

What is bad, so they are not happy that indigenous companies is getting the contracts while the money is still circulating within the state and Country, I bet if Alphabeta company is a foreign company belonging to Chinese, Germany etc no one will complain. Alphabeta employs 90% Nigerians, must of those that construct and do road maintenance in SW region are construction company initiated by Tinubu. Most of our politicians will prefer to loot our money, starch them in foreign land instead of building companies that will employ Nigerians.

I do believe at the same time, not everything should be transparent when we are still in a country like Nigeria with many Nations, else you will make your people vulnerable to economic sabotage by your enemies within Nigeria. Awolowo was transparent on how he was managing and governing Western region, rather for others to learn and replicate in their various regions, they sabotaged it.
