as long as Nigerians oversee any institution set in place, there must the corruption and shortchanging, no matter how well and corruption-proof that institution was designed to be.

Any system you develop, as long as it's run by Nigerians, it will be corrupt. Even the so called working system in developed clime, take Nigerians there and see what becomes of such nations in 5 years. We have stealing and looting in our DNA

The problem is that they always believe anything foreign is the best. Wasteful Government just wasting resources of Nigeria all the time.

We just have a stubborn government whose stubbornness has no benefit. They claim they are testing that of ASUU and till date, we haven't heard from them on this. Sick government

I doubt if ur under ippis payroll. I speak, may if not all that r under ippis payroll don't know exactly what der salaries r. Every month it's one deduction to another without no explanation wat so eva. Ippis is FRAUD

Why is NITDA not taking charge?
Are they just outsourcing and outsourcing?

There should be a special employment consideration for NITDA.only experience people from private sectors should be employed...

God have Mercy. What is really going on? So all these newspapers praises and commendation are only image laundry?
Well my experience tells two things:
1. Either the system doesn't work well or
2. Someone wants his preferred vendor to come in.
I've been there before.

ASUU saw it and adviced, but all they got was insults.

Can't we just do something right in this country without the thought of stealing money?

Unfortunately, because they are reaping from these failed systems, the government has refused to deploy UTAS, making ASUU out as the bad guys...

but ASUU warned you about it. How can you contract software companies in America to handle critical payment infrastructure like IPPIS when we have indigenous conpanies to do that. Is this is not corruption? Capital flight and money laundering in full glare? Nigeria is programmed for failure in all ramifications because we elect leaders like buhari who have nothing to offer.

Read the report from the AuGF very well and stop making uninformed comment. The major issue that was raised has to do with the GIFMIS and IPPIS contractual agreements that were signed by the PDP administration. The contracts was unfairly priced and it has no end date. In effect, the management and operation of the software is perpetually in the hands of the vendor and Nigeria will continue to pay hugely for this service.

The other issues are operational issues that are in every system. UTAS or any other Accounting or payroll software is not perfect. There will always be loopholes that operators can exploit.

If you even read and understand the issues raised in the audit report well, you won’t make the above statement because the perpetual contract handed over to the American vendor is the major problem. In every software sale, there should be an arrangement to train and handover the control and maintenance to the buyer. That is not the case in GIFMIS and IPPIS and that is what the Auditor General is complaining about because it is costing the country billions of Naira annually.

I am under IPPIS and the payroll is not a fraud. If you experience any unusual deduction from your salary, go to your salary section and request for your payslip. From the payslip, you will see the deductions that were made. If the deductions are not justified, go to the IPPIS unit in your office and ask them to reverse it.
