Is it biblical?

Why submit yourself to the traditions of people who don't believe in the same God with you?

There are good traditions and there are bad traditions.

The traditional marriage happens to be a good tradition.

As a man marrying a woman, doing the traditional marriage is a way of honouring the parents of the girl by paying a fee called bride price. This is accepted in all ethnic groups I know.

This also happens to be a law and Jesus whom we(christians) all try to emulate said in Matthew 5:17 said that he did not come to destroy the law...

The Advent of Christianity has also brought about the abolishing of some traditions such as when a man dies, his wife bears the grunt of the kinsmen who Barb's her hair and forces her to drink the water used to wash the dead body of the man.

In summary, it is left for you as a Christian to choose the tradition that alligns itself with the word of God.

I hope I made sense?

The rubbish being done in churches today was invented by the British royal family.

No where in the bible was Christian marriage recorded rather there are records of traditional marriages.

Do your research before asking funny questions on a Sunday morning.

What you also call a white/Christian wedding is the British traditional marriage.. We will start taking you serious when bride price is being paid in church during a white wedding.

I have no problem with honoring the parents.

But if someone is a Christian, he should give out his daughter in marriage in a Christian tradition in fellowship with other christians.

Likewise if someone worships any other God, let him give his daughter according to their traditions in fellowship with his fellow believers.

Do you even know the foundation of some of those traditions you think are good?

Those rituals are symbolic and can represent deeper realities than you know

And is the way of Christ not about Honour, Appreciation, Thanks Giving, Recognition, Celebration and Goodness?

What is Good, is Good! This is The Law!
