Well, neglecting the omission of the subject of the predicate which should be capitalized; it would have been grammatically correct if "worse" was used instead.
"Worse" is a comparative superlative of "bad"; just as "better" is a comparative superlative of "good".
Since one cannot say "John is 'good' than Peter", but one can say "John is 'better' than Peter.
For example;
"Good", "bad", and "weak" have the comparatives of "worse", "better" and "weaker" that are used.
