GboyegaD:
Hopefully, it will not inflate the cost of housing beyond normal for the masses living in the Epe axis.

Lagos and Ogun state should take advantage of this by ensuring good road networks to Sagamu and other towns around. The good thing is the multiplier effect it will have on the economy of these states.
True.

Lagos State is so lucky to have focus people with vision ruling the state.

I don't know why people don't like giving the APC in Lagos a good rating they deserve.

Yes, Lagos is not developing at the rate I want it to, but with PDP, Lagos won't be where it is today.

Do you know the Dangote Refinery would have been constructed in Ondo state, it was because of the visionless Government of Mimiko it was relocated to Ogun state.

Amosun also messed up, Dangote had to move the refinery location from Ogun state to Lagos State, Lagos State could have also mess up and lose this project to either Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom or Cross River State.

May God keep on blessing Lagos State

May God keep on blessing the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
You always pay party card! Anyone could have done better. I have you been to Epe expressway around Amen estates and see the problems of pollutions, congestions, unplanned city, What will be impact of degradations on the area. Dangote choose where nobody will disturb him. Do you know one LASG was shot like two years ago, because of refinery land issue. Always be factual when you type. APC is failure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You been a female and making irrelevant comments about Lagos achievement between party line just showed you are among the morons lead by cows. Ask any body that have relevant business why he or she choose Lagos and you will understand there are some many factors that plays in. If Lagos with the only Nigeria state and the kind of man power the have are still struggling with development then you know loot that goes in Lagos is not a child's play. So stop comparing something that is the same thing.

the same "focused" people that allow such residential and commercial developments to sprawl across the entire lekki corridor from lekki to Epe with only 1 road? You cannot go from anywhere to anywhere in that corridor without entering the expressway, hence the ever growing traffic....is that what you call focus and vision? Name any 2 estates or points on that corridor, you cant go from one to another without entering the expressway....who plans a modern city like that? Lekki was virgin territory they had the opportunity to plan the place before it developed but they didnt.

if you really think about it, Lagos is just lucky it is the economic capital of Nigeria and is thriving despite visionless leadership not because of any imaginary focus!!

Dangote refinery was signed in 2013. Nigerian businessman Aliko Dangote unveiled early plans for the refinery in September 2013, when he announced that he had secured about $3.3 billion in financing for the project.[2] At the time, the refinery was estimated to cost about $9 billion, of which $3 billion would be invested by the Dangote Group and the remainder via commercial loans, and begin production in 2016.

Some lazy brains will come here to say it’s because Lagos was a former capital. Never will they blame the corrupt government that has stunted growth of industry in their states.

By 2030, global demand for oil will be about half of what it is now. By 2050, demand will only exist in Africa. The supply for crude and its products will be too high, crashing the price to an all time low. This refinery is coming behind time.

The progress of a nation depends on the mentality(Reasoning Quality) of it's citizens. Most Nigerians are so gullible that we get deluded easily despite the scheme of things economically. A one mans business is of profit motive, while a government establishment is of welfare (The people's well being) motive. If one man being granted a monopolistic licence to establish/operate a refinery,at what cost?, Could he be richer than the nation's treasury?, His he the only entrepreneur capable & willing of establishing/operating a refinery?, The monopolistic licence, for how long & at what price?, Our political leaders both ex & current constituting the bulk of his company's share holders ,what could be their vested interest?. With an average Nigerian reasoning deficient of this self induced question,I am compelled to bear the notion that"We Have A Long Way To Go As A Nation"...By ETIM ABANG-JOSEPH EMENYI.

it was never in Ondo state but Delta state the refinery was supposed to be sited because land was given and clearance of the land started but greed of the Niger Delta people made dangote change mind and Fashola the (FBI) made him to build it at Lagos.
