Matip has been consistent for 4 years. Rudiger has only had one great year. Don't let recency effect fool you. Matip has done way better than Rudiger in EPL. When Rudiger was playing in a back 4 like Matip does with two flying fullbacks, 5 games cannot pass without him committing an error. It is even magnanimous to make it a preference choice.

And you don't see Liverpool fans counting Fabinho errors like we used to do weekly with Jogginghoe when we weren't playing Community defence. You think you will garner 97 points and 99 points and be having people counting DM errors weekly like his biggest fans below? Even under TT, we were still counting points dropped due to Jogginghoe against Villa, Arsenal and West Brom just in the final month of last season. Don't deceive yourself.

All I see here is theories laced with lunacy. Most, if not all of our players were shit under Lampard. When TT came on board, we saw considerable increase in player's quality. A reasonable conclusion would have been that TT is a better manager than Lampard.

Take Lampard to Liverpool and watch them struggle for top 4. If Jorginho's improvement is due to TT, why then didn't he embarrass himself at the Euros. God knows you would quickly rush to say I told you guys so had that happened.

We have always had inconsistent attackers but at least, they understood the tactical requirement and had no issues performing them to their very best. Once a managers tactics can be correctly executed, the team will achieve targets collectively not necessarily individually. As a fan, that's the only thing I care about -- collective achievement.

Perhaps your knowledge of football tactics is limited to DMs... Cos I can't wrap my head on my you can't easily see that Chelsea of last season pressed as a unit which most kept them on the front foot or at least made them compete favourably against footballing giants. This was only possible because TT fielded players who paid incredible attention to tactics. When they move, they move as one, and they hardly lose shape. Though at times, player's weaknesses may suffice, but the general goal was to keep it minimal.

The ultimate goal should have been to build on this, instead of signing a misfit who brought the whole system down. 10 players were now required to play to the strength of 1 man -- an untalented one. The only difference between last season and this season is Lukaku. He made us lose shape, that shape which left Pep aghast; which made us look impenetrable.

Replace Lukaku with maybe Jota and see us bounce back.

You lost most of your points this season with Lukaku out injured. You think Jota for Lukaku will return us to the top. I laugh in Mandarin.

Maybe growing pains but truth be told, we are lucky to have a starting goalkeeper in a decent European league club that starts for his club and highly rated in Holland. Last time we had a regular starting keeper at club level was Enyeama. Watford just signed him for €7m. The way things are looking with Foster and Bachmann, he may be their starting keeper next season.

Kante is a league winner twice with Leicester and Chelsea. He is not a sitting DM although has defensive qualities.

Show me one period where Chelsea has won consistently with Jogginghoe in an attacking set-up.

Even when his father Sarri tried to set things up perfectly for him, below is what we were seeing. After trying to go toe to toe with an attacking set-up and getting hammered 6-0 by City, even Sarri abandoned Sarriball to park bus the next week in Carling Cup final to eek out a 0-0 draw.
