IPOB is neither a people nor a place but an acronym that the Nigerian government has accepted as Indigenous People of Biafra. What it means is that the government has accepted that their is a Place called Biafra and there are Indigenous people occupying that territory and that that territory is within Nigeria. So by logic, IPOB doesn't exist and Kanu can not be a member of what is non existent.

Just like G-Unit is an entity registered in US.

You don't have to go far US to use G-Unit. I will still understand if you use local music group. But G-Unit, it was probably registered as a music entertainment business. I believe Kanu UK based IPOB did not register as a terrorist organization. Again, Kanu UK based IPOB has no liscence to operate in Nigeria so by all implications, Kanu IPOB does not operate in Nigeria. The IPOB the government is fighting is imaginary.
