A little history about Madrid and the copa del rey Real Madrid always found it difficult to win the copa del rey. 1⃣ zidane (a Madrid legend ) has never won the copa del rey either as a coach or as a player . 2⃣ the calacticos era of Madrid couldn't win the copa del rey from 1992 to 2010 (19 years) 3⃣ real Madrid has won the copa del rey twice in the last 30 years ⏺since Madrid hasn't found it easy to win the trophy many of their fans have been trying to tarnish the image of the competition. But their players know the importance of the cup ⏺in picture one you see casillas kissing the cup after winning it for the first time in 2011 ⏺ in picture 2 you'll see Madrid players throwing mourinho to the sky and catching him after he won them the cup for the first time in 20 years ⏺ in picture 3 and 4, Madrid did a bus parade in the city after winning the cup in 2013 ✖ the last time they won it was eight years ago. but they want us to believe its easy to win since barca has been winning it back to back and winning it eight times since 2005 . Do you know why they find it difficult to win this cup because the prize money is not encouraging them to bribe referees and match officials for this trophy so this makes all the teams compete fair and square

Jordi Alba lost possession 33 times yesterday (highest) He also had 23 unsuccessful passes (Highest) He was directly responsible for 2 goals conceded (Highest). He is also the highest paid full back in the world. (Wereyyyy) Mateu Alemany needs to channel the same energy and speed he used n getting rid of Phil, Griezmann and now Dembele to chase out Busquets, Alba, Sergi Roberto and ultimately Pique out else he's just as racist and silly if he's giving preference to Spanish players at the expense of the club. Get them Out! |

jonsnow92:I agree with you. Alba was the worst player on the pitch yesterday. Young Nico Williams tore him to shreds before he compounded his woes with the handball penalty in extra time. Even Busquets was lost most of the match. I dont know why our veterans are not showing good examples to the youngsters. See Benzema, Modric and Kroos at Real Madrid. They have carried the team since Ronaldo left. Shown good examples by stepping up with excellent performances. Whereas Alba, Pique, Buquets are not leading by examples. They have crumbled under the pressure and leaving youngsters to bear the brunt of leading the team at such a difficult time for the club. |

jpmoriarti:You guys were not dominating anything during Mourinho era. We lost first match under mou 5 -0 drew the return leg in Bernebau and beat you guys in the Copa Del Rey final. Second season Mou even played a second string team to still beat Barcelona . We will complete the seven up in March to make it 7 unbeaten matches in classico. |

.@moillorens headline for Diario AS in 2008: "Messi: 246 days out and 7 injuries in 3 years." Let’s hope Ansu, like Leo did, can overcome his constant hamstring problems soon. |

This article from The Athletic on Dembele's contract impasse just somehow buttresses what we've been saying about Older stars being given certain preferences. Even players selected are selected to cover for these old legs. When will they learn to leave when the ovation is loud.

jonsnow92:This is just not right. The likes of 18 year old Pedri, DeJong and outcast Griezman functioned under the same training condition. Even injury-prone Neymar enjoyed the beat of his career with lesser injuries than any where else. Let's not talk about the beast Umtiti was before he became a shadow of himself. If that's the case, we can equally blame Madrid for the poor form of Bale, Hazard and last season's + early season Asensio and Carvahal. Something might be wrong but indefinitely don't think Dembele and his agents have the right to complain |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by jpmoriarti(m): 11:24am On Jan 22, 2022 |
jonsnow92:I don't buy into this argument (the screenshot). Yes, Barca's training has been some of the worst in Europe in the last 7 years and it keeps showing everyday. However, do you think that most top players these days still rely heavily on their club's training schedule and facilities to handle all their training and fitness requirements? I read a story somewhere that Vinicius employs alot of fitness coach, and other crucial staff that assists him to be at the level required. It has clearly been bearing magnificent fruit for him this season. If a player thinks the club's training outline is not adequate for his development, he can augment that with arrangements of his own. This is to show you want to succeed in your profession. You can't just leave everything to the club's. Afterall, they have the financial muscle to hire such people and pay them out of their pocket. It is selfish players that imagine that the club should handle everything for them since they're under their employ. Players such as Messi and Ronaldo have managed to remain top athlete for years, not because they have legs made of iron, but because they employ people who help them privately to reach and remain at the level required. A top athlete playing at the highest level, should make necessary sacrifices required to remain at that level. This is why they're some of the highest paid in the world. |

FirstbornWds:Muller was amused when he saw how Barca trained/warm up before games. He said it after the 8-2 and made a more damning observation after the 3-0 beating. Aguero was shocked that players at Barca come in half an hour before games. The write up is clear, the training sessions aren't intense enough because the club don't want to overstretch the tired legs of the older guys and as such do light work. I'm not even bothered about dembele, I'm talking about the Club/physios, things have to change. |
| Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by jonsnow92: 11:55am On Jan 22, 2022 |
jpmoriarti:Not every player will be Messi or Ronaldo. The light soft work our players do in training explains why they get easily outmuscled in games. Messi was the fittest and even Baba couldn't do it himself. Whereas players have a responsibility to try and keep fit on their own, the club also owes the players the responsibility. There's a reason Pep, Kopp, Conte and all have very fit players. These coaches monitor everything even to nutrition. Conte does double sessions sometimes Klopp employs the best back room staff that keep the players in check. Let's not even talk about Baldo Pep. Barca owe the players maximum help to keep them fit. |

jonsnow92:Yes I agree with you but players with ambition should do more, even though the club has the best facilities and best training modalities. Our players are mostly selfish and does not wish to be the best version of themselves. They mostly come off to me as lazy, too relaxed and unmotivated. I hope Xavi can assist them to get back the passion for the game and for the club, which I see is clearly missing. Otherwise, how can you explain that Vinicius has over 10 personal staff that assist him daily ? Does Real Madrid also have bad training sessions like we did under Koeman and Valverde ? I understand that our training level has improved under Xavi but still not at the level required. Be that as it may, players should do more for the club that pays them plenty money. It is their responsibility to do everything necessary to stay fit and be ready to give the best version of themselves, every single matchday unless they sustained unfortunate, freak injury. |

I think we must belatedly shallow our pride as regards Dembele and play him, squeeze out what we can from him and then let him go in the summer. We're presently not in a position, sports-wise to let him sit in the stands. We just can't miss out on top 4. Our position is precarious in that regards. We need him especially now that Ansu Fati is out injured once again. I hope Xavi and Alemany reconsiders though. Things might have been different for us in attack against Atletic Club if Dembele were available. Afterall, he still draws salary from club's coffers. |

usbcable:What are you saying? Barca dominated Madrid from 2008 - 2012 joor. 08/09 - Won Madrid 2-0 and 6-2 home & away 09/10 - Won Madrid 1-0 and 2-0 home & away 10/11- won madrid 5-0, drew 1-1, won 2-0 UCL away, drew 1-1 home, lost 1-0 copa final. 11/12 - won madrid 3-2 super cup, won 3-1 away, won 2-1 away copa, drew 2-2, lost 2-1.
