there are no kiosk there and sand on their roads comes from the continuous construction happening around.
But I will be nice to have kiosk shops around that area so people can easily get their favorite candies, biscuits and soft drinks to buy instead of driving to their commercial area.
Is there any area in Ghana aside airport city, cantoment and maybe dworwulu without those containers and kiosks? grin

It is not prohibited for those provisions to be sold in shops built with blocks. Containers and kiosk doesn't befit an area were land and houses goes in the region of hundreds of thousand of dollars.

There are many areas like North Legon, the area we are currently talking about, all the communities of Tema except 1,2,3 , Spintex neighborhood, all the Ridge neighborhoods, and etc...

Sure container shops are a nuisance... But to avoid and uprising of peasant, it must be tolerated .... In no time, they also grow financial wise to move into the numerous stores available.

Charlie what changed? grin grin grin grin This new you is impressive. Container shops or kiosk shouldn't be tolerated along an asphalt road, it should be restricted to areas with dusty road and once the road is been asphalted then, they should move them away. The truth is that people will not move unless their is a law that restrict them.

My mum herself own a big containers were she sells this provision when there is an option for us to build her a shop right in front of the house. I often tell her I wish the government ban this things and she knows how I mean it when I say it.
nothing Changed I've never deny that they aren't.... I've only argue that they are necessary.... because you can't move a vulcanizer into a shop that is away from the road or your favorite fried yam seller or roasted meat Seller away from the road...you just end up inconveniencing everyone...
Then you ask your self the question if they can afford to pay 50,000 cedis for a shop.

You mostly find them around places with high human traffic .... Ie Junctions and taxi ranks, then you have thousands upon thousands of good shops.

I also owned a container shop where bread is baked in by my old woman and supplied to various shops even though the 16ft by 16ft shop at my house is empty and unused

So who told you this is not also happening in Nigeria and Ghana? Do you watch videos of Nigerian youtubers like Tayo Aina and Steven Ndukwe? The problem with you is that you get so easily excited that you just go haywire until we calm you down, then the next second you are out of control again.

We are not doing to impress anybody. We are doing to provide decent housing to every kenyan including Okada driver! Affordable housing is for low class so they can also live like humans - not like Nigeria zoos.

Now what is big plan for Makoko and entire slumpolis that is Lagos.
Pray, tell! Here's Makoko and some of the 250+ slums in Accra Sakawa boys and Okadamen are strangely silent about screeching 24/7 about Kibera, which btw has constant power and newly introduced public toilets.
We've covered the Waffa toilet issue too many times to rehash the true state of Accra, Kumasi and most of Naij incl Abuja CBD in this regard.

it's difficult problem..do you outlaw informal trade like Rwanda tries ..do you criminalize and brutalize like Kenya..do you allow as French say laissez-faire or carefree like west Africa..or do you organise them like museveni and western countries do..I favour museveni approach..hawkers, kiosks and informal traders should be organised like Uganda did for public taxi or trotos or dafno that Kenya copied..let them as poor as they are be organised,orderly.. like it or not poor urban poor will eke a living...best to organise them..into some semblance of order.if you're street hawker in Uganda you wear uniforms that say it.. you have some code of conduct..your leadership know you..the same for informal transport..there has be attempt to order without criminalizing poverty..as people fend and will fend whether you like or not as it's survival game

Yeah we also beat Ghana in 2002 and 2006 Afcon (in the days of the Okocha's and Kanu's), so I think it's been even till date in the 2000's. However, I don't rate any Nigerian team that existed before 1976.

Right now as we speak... Ghana does not have a team, a coach or management team ..... Everything has been dissolved....
This means Nigeria can't build a plan

The Nigerian team is playing good football but Ghana has all the talent...

This is a society which has normalised the abnormal! A (relatively) normal individual feels NOTHING dropping his pants and dumping on a city street. Its like how they cannibalize their dead kings and everyone gives zero fks- this socioculture was warped by trading and dehumanizing their own for centuries.
PTSS is real!
