My Experience Being Tagged A Fraudster. by bayo2018: 6:59am On Jan 23, 2022
I don’t know why every successful male (mostly young guys ) who are successful are tagged yahoo boy here in Delta undecided
i schooled in one of the Uni in this state and it hasn’t being easy with me explaining to almost everyone that I’m not into fraud.

Though I experience this from almost all the normal students. I don’t even roll much with girls from this state and sch (most of them will always tag me a yahoo boy at the end of the day ) because it seems everyone here na frauddey help their life and likewise the girls are into legit hook up and they don’t even cover it (the way some of the females here dress ehhn I’ll just nod my head, smile and continue my journey )
I’ve encountered two scenarios where the mum was even the one advising the young male child to go meet their bro at some other part of the state (like oghara)
The other was the mom going to fight for her kid because they didn’t wanna give him his full share from the scam schem omo I just weak dieee

But I did not expect myself seeing same mentality from the educated adults angry

The first experience occurred when I was in yr 2 second semester and my Course adviser told me I’ve changed (he knew me personally because of my good result lols ) due to the cloth I put on during my 100l days and the type of cloth I put on during the yr 2 and after the normal meet up talk baba confidently told me that I’ve started yahoo also because he can see that i now put on vintage shirt unlike the set of clothes I put on in my yr 1 (I’ve got a very bad fashion sense in my yr 1 sha lols. sometimes I even put on Ankara and Jean to lecture hall cheesy cheesy)
I had to clear my self immediately that I’m not into fraud and I’m a legit Businessman. He asked me scope of the business and I brief him a little and we ended it there by me dashing him some pocket money lols

The second experience was with my HOD. i went to my HOD office to get some file and I’m to input some digit from my phone to one the file at his office so I brought out my phone and while doing it, I guess baba saw the back of the iPhone and he started asking me the make of the iPhone and like the price tag for such device and he repeat same thing that I’m into yahoo omo I just clear him also that I’m not a fraudster and I brief him my scope of business and we’ve being friends since that time lols.

Some lectures also tag me yahoo boy even though I don’t live their lifestyle And the only reason they do this tagging is when they’re able to sight my device which make me not to carry any of my high end device out to sch area again I only carry my small apple device because I believe with that you should not be able to tag me a fraudster because I’m tired of explaining to everyone that I’m not a fraudster
I live below my means
I don’t flaunt my wealth in school
i don’t attend parties like that in school not to talk of doing Dorime (order casket cheesy)
You won’t even know my worth if you meet me randomly (only few peeps sabi me )
Even the yahoo guys and me can’t be on the same level because I make my money legitimately and far bigger than them

The one wey really vex me na when I went to mall yesterday to get shawarma
I had to carry one of my high end device to the mall because I’ll have to transfer to the people over there (I don’t use ATM card )
I was making call while I entered the main place to get the shawarma so i believe the security guy noticed my phone
after ordering for everything I try to step out and baba was tryna bill me, I told him ion have cash on me to give him sha and I smile only for the security guy to make one weird statement “All these yahoo guys make una try dey help us too” I had to turn back and tell him immediately that Bro I’m not a fraudster and I’ll never be among one

So my question is why is every successful young guy seen as a potential scammer
Is there no other means to make legit money as a young guy again in this country nii.
Are there no skills again to learn in this country nii

I’ll love to hear other peeps view also sha lols because the matter tire me oooo.

Op, that's the problem of our society now. They are a lot of successful people like yourself that are into legit business but tagged bad. I know of some that are into crypo. People still find means to label dem bad.

OP, don't mind them. As long as you are legit. No need. A clear conscience laughs at false accusations.

Don't forget to be dressing like a business man. Maybe you dress like those yahooboys. At this your stage, you should familarise yourself with mature dressing.

Wish you all the best in your business, Op. More business deals.

It's not only happening in delta, I think its everywhere in this country, everybody knows how hard it is to survive in this country and fraud is the only thing most boys are doing to survive. So anybody putting on good clothes and even using an iPhone is definitely a yahoo boy

Yeah I can agree it’s everywhere in the country
But the rate at which they rate it here is bad asf
i stay in lag and it’s very rare for you to see someone just tag you a fraudster just because of the type of gadget you use or your decent dress

Let’s hear from others smiley

My own experience is when I go to the banks the security are always extra nice to me

Only to be expecting something when I am coming out, but I work for my money so you have to really touch me before getting it

Not some eye service you do for reward
