I trade supply and demand so I will try to explain from that pov.
Flip zone is the area where price broke the immediate trend. For instance, price is making a hh/hl(higher high/higher low), then price after making a hh, broke the hl and made a ll(Lower low). That zone where it broke the hl is a flipzone. It's a flip zone because price was going bullish and for it to continue bullish it shouldn't break the low, so once it broke the low it means bears have flipped the market.If you check the weekly timeframe for eur/USD, that zone we are currently reacting from is a flipzone, maybe that should help clear it up for you.
Break of structure is somewhat subjective and it's broader. It's more like swing structure. It confirms trend change. Flip zone is more like an early indication that price wants to change direction but not confirmed, bos confirms it. It depends on your tfs. For instance, a bos on m1 can be an indication that price wants to change but it doesn't confirm it until you see a bos on tfs like m15/m30 and above.
I don't know if I succeeded in confusing you the more.
