Yes, because some of us watch the details of the game and make our views based on it, while noisemakers only base their views on what the final result was, even if a player was lacking.

I bet you didn't notice the Winks incident, but I who notice such detail will give my score based on it, and you will be surprised. My score is 5.
rate hojberg performance for us yesterday. What is his score? 2 Abi 3

Lol. You couldn’t even answer that.

I just answered you. His awards speak for itself.

This is the best player in Europe. The third best player in the world. Why can't he walk into any midfield?

Never anything positive to say about jorginho. Always the negatives.
Never given credit when due. That's what irrational hate does. Focus on the one error made but ignore the multiple times his opponent the tout lost the ball under pressure.
Again, jorginho and the thugberg have met 8 times in a row and never once have Tottenham outpossed Chelsea, not even scored one goal in those encounters. His team conceded 70 goals last season, meanwhile jorginho anchored his team to be the best defense on its way to winning the champions league.
Italy went on a 35 game unbeaten run, the longest unbeaten national side for 4 years. Jorginho featured in 29 {89%} of those games which culminated in them winning the Euros.

As I said, only hate can define your badbelle.
He has made his name. He has been recognized as one of the best players in the modern game. He is right at the top.

Majority of Chelsea fans both here and match going love our vice captain, leader, legend.
Choke on your hate.

But as a Nigerian by marriage, it qualifies her for the job. I think she's also done a good job of promoting the culture. It's why I wanted to see ibime's view on the issue as he's literally experiencing this. I just hope my question wasn't interpreted to be ill-mannered or bad intentioned.

Brother, we are talking about an important position that appointments should be made on merit and achievements.

The reason you're being empathetic is because she's white. I don't think a white administration would appoint a Black woman married to a white man to take such a role because she promotes their culture.

She can take any other thing, but not a commissioner abeg

the standard of refereeing this afcon has been very poor... it's seems that anytime a referee is sent to the monitor it almost always results in a red card...imagine no match in this knockout has finished 11v11 it was the same in the group stages...even the much maligned Epl referees are better than this

Personally, I might argue she merits it. We are talking of tourism and cultural affairs here. What better way than to put someone who has shown a deep love, acceptance and advertisement of the said culture than her.
She is already doing it, she is qualified. But I understand the negative optics.
I understand that giving the post to a foreigner when there is barely any other cabinet member from another tribe just looks absurd. Still doesn't take away from her qualification for the job.

Chelsea have played the last 19 games in 60 days (that is approximately every 3 days). That is the most frequent by any other team in Europe.

In that meantime, they have encountered 32 injuries and covid without getting a single game postponed. That is the highest number for any team in Europe without having their match postponed

Now they will get a much deserved 13 day break except the players on internationals

An ambassador role is okay. But not a commissioner. Someone based abroad can't serve as a commissioner here in Nigeria.

And mere posting of stuffs on social media doesn't make you qualified enough for a role as a commissioner of Tourism. The post entails more than that

Yesterday I was pointing out that our major problem in Chelsea for the last few years has been our impotent attackers. We've had soo many attackers consistently produce poor numbers. Only 3 times in the last 8 years have any of our attackers scored more than 20 goals a season and That's Costa and hazard and 2 times it happened, we won the league. Also, less than 10 assists a season from any attacker.

Aguero, Kane, Salah, sterling, mane, Mahrez, rashford, Son etc. All these attackers have posted 30 goals and assists in a season. Never a Chelseaattacker.

The reason Tuchel focused on our striking department last window was because of our very poor attacking numbers and bluntness of our forwards.
Willian, inconsistent hazard, Pedro, morata, higuain, Hudson odoi, Werner, mount, ziyech, havertz etc. All of them failures.

Stats do show that we actually create a lot of high scoring chances but our strikers are cursed to always miss 1v1s.

Look at our attacking output the last few seasons and see us consistently post poor attacking returns. We have always been one of the poorest scoring teams among the top6, just look at the shameful numbers below. Let nobody deceive you into scapegoating the wrong person because of a deeply held irrational hate for an individual. Once you hate someone, you hate the person, you are totally blind to reason objectively. Don't fall for it.

Our cursed strikers and incompetent attackers are at fault for our woes. Certainly not the DM.

You just feel this way because she's white. You may not advocate for this if it was a Yoruba or Hausa lady married to an Igbo guy.

She can be recognized by the government, but appointing her over the affairs of our state is just ridiculous.

Nothing makes her more qualified than Chinyere that was born and bred in Fegge, or Adaora that grew up in Ozubulu.

My wife isn't white. Any Nigerian citizen should be able to hold any position the constitution qualifies them for, that's when we will know we've gone past tribalism and quota system to a competence based system. As for whether she is qualified, those in the know can decide. We have many Nigerian born immigrants holding political positions in UK, Canada, USA, even Poland. We've also always had Nigerians holding ministerial and Chief Justice positions in places like the Gambia. Yaya Jammehs Chief Justice was Nigerian until 2017. What's good for the Jews is good for Uganda.

Hmmm I always thought you married a British because I vaguely recall you saying something along those lines during your rap battle days many years ago and also because of how very light skinned your beautiful kids are. Anyways, I agree with you that qualification and merit should be the ultimate decider, it's worrisome that our society is just not yet as inclusive as it should be.

We are still largely divided along tribal and ethnic lines laced with nepotism. I hope it changes soon.

That's egregious, it's not just because she's white.
It's because I see her devotion to a whole different culture.
It's rare to see someone from another continent go to another whole continent and ingratiate themselves totally to that new culture.

It's not impossible to think of a Yoruba woman who adapts to an igbo culture or an Hausa culture because that person has already been exposed to bits and pieces of the culture since birth by virtue of proximity. The cultures share certain similar attributes, traditional monarchy, relatively similar diets, similar cultural fashion. Some of this brought together by the fact that both share similar environment, same whether, same vegetation, same climate etc. Very much unlike the different factors someone else from another continent faces.

So it's a much bigger deal for nwanyi ocha to have adapted so well than those from the same geo location or continent.

This is not even a reason to make her a commissioner.

So we should make her a commissioner of Tourism because she's devoted to our culture?

Can she even mention tourist sites in the state? Has she been there? Does she even live in Nigeria?
How does she intend to generate revenue for the state through tourism?

I can go on and on and you'll see that she's not qualified to be a commissioner.

Leave emotions aside, Nwaanyiocha is doing well for us. But it's ridiculous to appoint her to head any administrative part of our government.

Very ridiculous

You tribalistic prick! You're Igbo, right, Izzou?

How come you don't raise sentiments such as this when governors in the South West (Yorubas) and South South (particularly Akwa Ibom and Rivers State) appoint Igbos who are non-indigenes and not even married to indigenes as Special Assistants?

In Ogun State, as far back as 2002 under Gbenga Daniel, Igbos were being appointed as SAs and SSAs, and nobody had issues. The story is the same in Lagos State, and the most recent popular case being Joe Igbokwe who is wholly Igbo.

In Akwa Ibom State, under Godswill Akpabio (2007 to 2015) (who is married to an Igbo woman, Uloma Akpabio), SSAs and SAs who were Igbos were appointed and even Igbos drafted into our civil service. We were okay with it as they had lived in the state for donkey years and even speak the language, even though they married Igbos too and had Igbo names.

Tribalistic folks like you who chestbeat on the internet is why we kicked all of them out of these positions and got them removed from the civil service because Igbo States refuse to reciprocate the gestures and goodwill.

Arc. Victor Attah (1999 - 2007) who was Akwa Ibom State governor and Obasanjo's friend until the sharing formula for oil states fallout, was married to a white woman who couldn't even speak the language and wasn't one-tenth as immersed in the culture like the said Nwanyiocha is but was never treated less than the wife of the governor and was given the full powers as women leader of Akwa Ibom State.

A non-Igbo even aspiring to be course representative in any university in Igboland would have his or her life threatened, and worse if you aspire for a key position in any of the SUGs.

Continue breaking bridges instead of mending the ones your forebears broke with other tribes in Nigeria.

You should ask yourself why an Ibibio man (the fourth largest ethnic group in Nigeria) or Ijaw man (of the fifth largest) is always three times as likely to be fingeréd to rule this country or benefit from the socio-politico-economics than the Igbo who's amongst the three largest ethnic group.

You should ask yourself why every president is likely to take other tribes as key allies (including Jonathan and Buhari) but somehow skips over the Igbos.

You should ask yourself why Asari Dokubo or Boy Loaf who have committed more atrocities than Nnamdi Kanu would ever think of are walking free why the later is in chains.

Continue fanning the embers of hatred and discrimination then cry foul when others treat you the same way. We would keep watching. smiley

Ijaw is the 4th largest ethnic group.
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by DissTroy(m): 11:41am On Jan 25, 2022
DitariDisciple2:

Ijaw is the 4th largest ethnic group.

Dude, Ijaw is the 5th largest ethnic group in Nigeria while Ibibio is the 4th largest ethnic group. Do your research.

And don't bring in the spread of the Ijaws in Ondo, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Delta States as they are tiny communities outside of Bayelsa. Tiny especially in Ondo and Delta States. And Bayelsa itself is very small, in population and landmass.

Check the population censuses and communities/ LGAs marked as Ijaw juxtaposed against the ones marked as Ibibio. I could go on with this. This is a debate I have had several times.

But that's just an offshoot of the issue being discussed here; focusing on the trunk - why Igbos think non-Igbos (who have either married into the tribe or lived in their areas for countless years and adopted the language, traditions, and culture) do not deserve to take up representative and/or elective positions in Igboland yet hypocritically arrogate or visibly crave (even arrogantly feel entitled to) such powers or positions to themselves in non-Igbo territories - is the crux of the matter here.
