This is good news to me as it means work will resume as I forecasted last year. I must double my highest account balance from back in the day.

Now it makes sense why the United States always looks for trouble every year. Oil prices are a good incentive to frustrate countries' sovereignities. I don't bother since the media is only doing its work. Na work I dey look forward to.

The tension from Russia has also contributed to the spike. European countries are afraid that Russia may turn off their gas supply sad

For how long did PDP sell oil at $100 per barrel?

Did you factor in the subsidy payment in coefficient to the price which was why GEJ wanted to remove subsidy?

Una no just suppose dey talk for public
Dont mind all those people.
The fuel was sold for 100 dollars in a limited time but the oil has been gaining prices since they took over and they didnot talk again.

Looking for other excuse again

He knew it wasn't over for fossil fuels

Nice, but we have to pay back our debts incurred when oil was below 50 dollars and pay for subsidy which has risen in cost

And even then, the oil price is too low for us.

Nigeria should get off oil and into industrial development
Every day oil price is too low, wait until it reach $1000 dollars per barrel.
Corrupt politicians in Nigeria.

The thing is , Nigeria needs side hustle

The oil price, long term , is going to fall. The US and Russia will soon kiss and make up, and there would be no war.

Even if oil goes up to where it favours us, we are too big to rely on oil

Largely because subsidy was being paid...and was draining the treasury.

PDP should have saved, yes , but the problem was that subsidy claims were chopping money well well.

High oil price meant high cost of production meant that the difference between it and pump price meant high losses

If GEj had removed subsidy, yes prices would have risen but more Forex would have flowed in, the naira would have gotten stronger and we would have had more refineries and lots more savings

Corruption chopped part too, of course
And corruption is not chopping part of the present subsidy regime abi? And your baba there was part of the protest against subsidy removal, you remember? Now he brought up subsidy removal after demonizing GEJ. With 2023 staring in the face, he suddenly suspended the removal.

Bros I tell you say na siddon look we dey.

What is the benefit of this to Nigerians since the evil party is still in power? This price increase will not stop the evil party from borrowing big money from foreign countries.

What benefit does it offered Nigerians before evil party taking over?

Buhari and Osibanjo go cry out again na. . Say oil subsidy is killing them...

We have foolish and useless leaders in this country. .

Why can't they be truthful to themselves and indeed repair refineries. . Or build viable ones and privatize it's operations?

Why can't they cut the excess leakages in the budgetary approvals for executives and legislators. . They amortize billions for even kitchen allowance. . Not to mention major perks. Excess vehicular and aircraft fleet of the presidency and legislators. .

Too many leakages and uneccesary spendings within the system that they can cut off. .

They will prefer to always transfer the burden to the masses. .

We are waiting for them this time. . Looking at them with one eye. . I hope they remember end SARS. . .

Thank God the era of blaming Jonathan is gone.

That will not change anything much until we begin to refine locally to a larger extent because foreign exchange market refining and landing costs are not favourable.

I have supported subsidy removal for ten years now, and no, I am not a APC supporter or a PDP supporter, and you do me a disservice assuming I support either...

There are many good reasons why subsidy should go. For now, i'll leave you with one....would you let government set the price of the goods you sell to help the poor?
Bros I tell you say na siddon look we dey.
Yeah, and subsidy still has to go. We've lost too much money from it. We are about to lose another trillion naira.

APC no go talk now o, after they'll be shouting PDP benefitted from Oil being over $100 per barrel. What is the difference between 90 and 100?
Re: Oil Price Hits $90 Per Barrel For First Time Since 2014 by Raph82(m): 8:28pm On Jan 26, 2022
Buhari and his APC won't talk now o, all they've been shouting all these while is that price of crude has been down, that's why they can't fund many projects. But at the same time, PDP na disaster to human race, before 2014, that thing used to be around 110 plus, and they never did anything meaningful with d money. Which party go come save us self?
