Aside tactics,
1. We grossly underrated Tunisia because we topped our group with max points while they struggled to qualify as best losers in Group F & also lost several players to Covid-19.
Therefore many were already looking beyond them to Quarter Final. We forgot Tunisia is a Top5 team of high pedigree in Africa.

2. Because of this underrating, we were under immense pressure to win. When under pressure, you become liable to mistakes & your performance won't be optimal. Tunisia understood the situation perfectly & set out to frustrate us in that match hence our mistakes which led to the goal & red card.

3. Plenty of distractions. Call from Buhari, needless visits by VIPs, financial promises, doubts about Eguaveon retaining the coach job, Okoye's incompetence & women posts on social media etc. As Westerhof rightly said, a good coach should be like a policeman, shielding his team from undue distractions.
