Mr Kyari was accompanied on the trip by the Chief Financial Officer, Umar Ajiya; the Group Exceutive Director , Upstream, Adokiye Tombomieye; the Group General Manager, NAPIMS, Bala Wunti; the Managing Director, NNPC Trading, Lawal Sade, and others. None of these names come from the Oil and gas producing communities, yet they own Nigerias oil and gas sector and steal billions yearly. The whole of the NNPC is now a northern Nigeria property, with few slots given to to their hungry Southern obedient servants. It's unbelievable |

owobokiri: JavaScript90:Please ,you better go through the names slowly and don't embarrass yourself like most IPOB terrorists filled with bitterness, hatred and bigotry do online. There are Ijaw and Yoruba names in that list you quoted and staring everyone in the face. Ha!Bigotry, lying, hatred and bitterness with poor mental health bad gan o. May you not suffer such terrible afflictions. This man called Mele Kyari, a Nigerian Patriot has got the Midas touch. He is just too good. I remember then the naysayers say we will never get funding for Train 7, under his leadership, he didn't only get the funding for the Train 7,he got the IOCs back on board. Now with his zeal and commitment and political will of PMB to get the decade long PIA PDP could not give us, same Mele Kyari is leading the transition of NNPC from a government agency to start operating as NNPC Limited that will eventually list its shares on Nigeria Stock Exchange. If you want a good mentor in excellence and patriotism, go and ask about and read about the man Mele Kyari. This is a milestone and I applaud NNPC and Afrexim, under the leadership of another Nigerian Patriot ,Benedict Oramah, for making it a success. This is a huge investment to help us increase investment in the oil and gas industry and increase our asset in that sector. I really hope oil price remains favourable to enable the investment pay back in a profitable business model. All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose. God bless Nigeria forever. Meanwhile, once again, I plead with you my fellow patriotic Nigerians, please vote Asiwaju Tinubu. Asiwaju Tinubu is extremely capable and competent to lead Nigeria to greater heights. He will deliver and keep his promises to lead Nigeria to greater heights. He is an experienced public administrator and a Patriot to the core. Please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. Thank you. May God bless you and may God bless Nigeria forever.

So much investment to a dying industry. Elon Musk needs to re-engineer the Tesla electric automotive to suit the Africa market, that should speed up the death of the oil polluting industries and preserve our planet and then Nigeria’s government will finally have sense |

They will not use that money to build refineries now which is the major problem the oil sector is facing and Nigeria...so that this issue of fuel subsidy can be solved... they will just misappropriate and embezzle the money and use it to buy flashy cars and build mansions |

BCISLTD:1.Wut? 2.Every business seeks funding. Every business. That's a key aspect of commercial banking's job. Even loan apps like fairmoney advertise themselves as giving SME loans. 3..NNPC hasn't been able to make much profit because subsidy and Nigeria's addiction to cheap fuel |

ufotunang:Well it is for upstream investments which includes refining.. Plus 5 billion cannot build a refinery. A big one of the type you have in mind. NNPc can build a lot of refineries if Buhari had just simply removed subsidy, so that they can earn the profit needed to do so |

A company that should be sold off is now borrowing massive funds. Buhari never ceases to amaze one. |

ufotunang:Dangote's refinery will be up and running in July. That solves the "local refining" issue. The local refining issue is simply a means by those who don't want the fuel subsidy removed hide under. |
| Re: NNPC Secures $5bn Funding From Afreximbank For Nigeria’s Oil Industry by grandstar(m): 9:21am On Jan 28, 2022 |
backbencher:This man deserves a million stars. Buhari has had at least 2 very good chances to remove the subsidy and fully deregulate the price, but in his ever characteristic manner, blew it. In January 2016, when the nation suffered the worst fuel shortage ever, he could have fully deregulated the price. The price was only increased then to like 147. That NLC called people out to protest but they weren't interested. They were just too grateful that they had fuel to buy. Another was during the lockdowns. The price of petrol collapsed and he should have seized on the moment, but yet again, did not deregulate the price. The refusal to deregulate the price is killing the Nigerian economy. The benefit of paying a market-determined price can be gleaned from the telecoms industry. After the GSM auction I think in 2000, MTN, Econet, and MTEL won licenses. MTN and Econet charged market-determined prices of N50 per minute while MTEL chose the people's price of N22. Where is MTEL today? But the real benefit came with the massive investment in the telecoms which has brought wealth to Nigerians from the very poor to the rich and make a sizable difference to the country's GDP. If fuel price had been deregulated since 1999 or even 2012, and the refineries sold off, I am sure by now, the country would be refining at least 1,200,000 barrels of oil daily if not more. It is a big shame. |

FreeStuffsNG:NLNG is one of the cash cows for IOC's in Nigeria. There was never any issue from IOC's with respect to train 7! If anything train 7 had been delayed by the broke and incompetent government that can't get anything done speedily. |
| Re: NNPC Secures $5bn Funding From Afreximbank For Nigeria’s Oil Industry by FreeStuffsNG: 9:41am On Jan 28, 2022 |
COMPAQ:You are clearly ignorant about train 7 and when one mixes ignorance with bigotry, bitterness and hatred, one's judgement of issues become fatally jinxed. Sir,it was anticipated that the train 7 project, scheduled for completion in 2007 (8 years before PMB became the President), would become the largest LNG train in the world. https://tribuneonlineng.com/nlng-train-7-better-late-than-never/ and it's to the credit of the same President Muhammadu Buhari that you hate because he is not from your tribe, religion and political party, that the Train 7 eventually takes off just like the Petroleum Industry Act that gathered dust upon dust for a decade until it was passed last year and signed into law by the one you hate,PMB.. The IOCs have better cash cows elsewhere and if you know the oil industry, you will know that it took a lot of brinkmanship to get them on train 7. Except you are playing mischief, there's no way you will describe a project that has been on paper since 2007 as a sign that the IOCs are enthusiastic about it even if you find it difficult to read and comprehend the actual reasons the previous administrations could not get train 7 done. |

JavaScript90: owobokiri:You need to eschew this bigotry and face reality. No organisation in Nigeria is established for specific group of people in whatever guise. NNPC board is made up of people equally represented from each geopolitical zones. What u failed to understand is, many people from 3 Northern zones may likely share similar names unlike Southern Nigeria where SS names is different from SW or SE. This is actually why many Nigerians failed to understand when PMB make appointments with such names some Southerners accuse him of bias because South is so divided unlike North where people appreciate appointments irrespective of zone, religion or tribe. Note, among the names u listed one of them is from Katsina (NW), Bauchi (NE) and the other is from NC (can't remember his state) while North take the only advantage of the NNPC Head being a Northerner from North-East. |

FreeStuffsNG:First of all, you should be very much ashamed for this thing u typed. This same organization that have not been recording any profit wants to get loan. For what? How do they intend to pay back when they don't record any profits. Nigeria has become so broke that they can't finance any project without borrowing and anyone that complains becomes an ipob member.
