public charging of phones have many disadvantages, but I don't think it could lead to more cyber vulnerabilities than Facebook friend request.
Many people are just too careless with the way they confirm all friend requests from every Tom, dick and harry on Facebook. This is very dangerous.
Please what are the vulnerability in the Facebook friends requests?

This doesn't make any sense sha. You can't install any files into an android system via just a charging station unless USB debugging is enabled, which you have to do manually, and the adapter have some custom chip that can store that kind of information, (here we're taking about a miniature electronic device inform of a charging brick). Still doesn't make any sense. However, people should be more careful about using public WiFi. I only use public wifi to download movies or files, but avoid anything that'll require me to input my password instead of biometrics.

Who told them this gibberish

I am quite happy about the admittance by NCC they should keep it up , because when I told my friend what I observe he would say I have time travel before my time and always end with a closing statement "it is well" of which I am tempted to say in my mind "Yes, even in the well" ...It is just that it is not good to start saying something in public space, but charging phone public is not all, they are special usb cable sold in the open market that have this capabilities and it is very difficult to differentiate.

NCC is pretending to be working. It collects bribes from telcos and allow them to run wild on consumers! This government agency is absolutely useless!

Damn... This is what tax payer monies are being used for Useless information?

1. Hackers in Nigeria aren't concerned with such methods bruh! Why go through such pain staking process to write a payload and upload it into a charging port First of all, this method won't work due to the disabled USB debugging option, OEM unlocking and default USB configuration of virtually all modern android devices now. Goodluck with that.
2. If the NCC doesn't post anything for five years, we get the gist, their MDA is just meant to embezzle our money, no need to try too hard

3. Only a novice would swallow this piece of unimportant information, hook, line and sinker.

4. If it were feasible, such situation will only happen on charging sockets with inbuilt Wi-Fi capabilities whereby a hacker close by would gain control over the charging Dock and initiate the payload of which there is a variable given the fact that most devices are outdated and unprotected and besides, it has to be for a specific type of device with a specific security vulnerability.

Now having listed these, it shows that the NCC doesn't even understand the information they copied from a digital security report journal hence the half and half panic inspired caveat they posted or are they trying to tell me that we shouldn't charge our phones at Brother Kunle's barbershop again?

peace.
