New Scam Alert!!!!!!!!! Fraudster Using Gtbank by Iamsalis: 2:01pm On Jan 29, 2022 |
Good day all, I had an issue last night and couldn't login into my mobile app and internet banking, so I sent a tweet on twitter to @gtbank_help to my surprise the response was so fast and after a diligent check the response was from @gtbank_co redirecting me to a WhatsApp number 0907 010 1092. So I decided to play along and our chat went as follows. Screen shoot attached

Iamsalis: So I went into my browser and logged into to the link the scammer sent, its was well organized and wonder how many people would have been scammed with the site. Here is the link https://form.jotform.com/220271865000545

Why would you use Twitter to contact them, use their emergency hotline next time. Even the link address is wrong. These ones are still learning and whoever falls for this trick should discontinue using the internet for the moment. 2 Likes |

I see people making enquires or complaints directly under bank's comment section and I just shake my head. Don't they know that their posts are being seen by thousands of people including fraudsters? It's better you privately message them to have your issues ironed out than posting directly on their page, you'll only attract the fraudsters lurking around their platforms. I don't use Twitter so I don't know if they have a dm option like Facebook or Instagram. If they do, chat them privately. Protect your bank account by all means, these thieves are not smiling 2 Likes |
