His backyard where Imo poly is taken to is also part of the big Oru nation which has got no federal or state institution.
Imo poly with a students and staff population of around 12,000 needed not be at the border of Owerri where more than 180,000 students and staff population already exists.

I have to admit, Owerri is the city in the south-east....and possibly the entire southern Nigeria with the exception of Lagos, that has the most number of exquisite and eye-ctaching mansions and duplexes. But what lets the city down is the lack of....or poor state of the inner-city roads. Though i've noticed the effort the present state gov't is making in road construction in Owerri (makes you wonder exactly which roads Rochas built during his 8 year tenure)!

Take a look at the nice houses in this new estate. This should be the 3rd highbrow estate in Owerri i'm showcasing on this thread...previously was Udenwa estate and one other one i can't remember the name now. Of the 3, only Udenwa estate has a half-decent road network while this one i'm attaching on this post has the absolute worst.

Is it possible that, in future, the Imo state gov't could borrow a leaf from the way Awka Millenium City is doing theirs, by first constructing the inner road network and providing other services like electricity, water pipes and cabling, before the construction of houses by plot owners begins.

The architecture of some of these mansions, and even their walls and gates, are so top notch.

The owners of these fantastic mansions in these estates still being developed should not allow the state government to do the roads with asphalt that will develop potholes and hold putrid water in no time. Surely each landlord can afford to use interlocking tiles to do the roads. Let each home owner dig drainage and tile his side of the roads from fence to fence and to the middle of the road. They will have a classy roads and surroundings. They can even use coloured tiles self. Just a little bit more expenditure to secure a really superb estate for themselves and their generations.

In other countries, it's the duty of the Estate
developers to build up the roads in the estate and invite local government authorities to inspect, approve and assign names to the roads.

was sad when this project got canned , especially since it had gotten past foundation level. Hopefully it's brought back to the limelight again.
