He was so promising. I couldn't understand how he was shipped off so fast. Would've been a great partnership with Araujo.

A 3rd position finish and the Europa legue trophy woild be a massive achievement for the season...

But maybe he needed the step-down. There were complaints about his attitudes. He's got big pride and arrogance about him, they said.

But he has now rebuilt his career in Nice and looked to be back at his best.

You know he's of similar age with Araujo. So in the end, Barcelona preferred to move on with Araujo.

We could have done with a left back too because Alba looks lost these days. I don't know how a 32 yr old, who has apparently seen it all, is still struggling with confidence at times.

But by and large, I think this squad should be able to achieve the objectives for the remainder of the season, which is top 4 UCL spot.

Yeahh he started with cutting of that his hair and barbing low cut. Not saying that it made any difference though but you could see he realised he had been a hothead. I guess perhaps he reached the top much quicker than he was ready for. It was said that he listened to no one and he did things the way he saw fit. Going back to Nice has been his best decision up to now.

I don't think we retained a buy-back clause because we needed such ruggedness he brings to his game. A partnership with Araujo would have set us up for at least 10 years in that heart of defence.

It is so shocking that the young boys have avoided mistakes during game but our old heads like Busquets, Alba, Pique continue to flounder every time with poor performances. Whereas in the capital, Modric at 36, Benzema 34, Kroos 32, is still a leading light, guiding the young players with strings of excellent performances back to back.

I think Xavi and Lord Alemany would be forced to clear them out in the summer to make way for a total overhaul. Busquets still got easily robbed. Against Madrid and Rayo, with two of them leading to 2 crucial goals for the opposition. Alba looked totally lost at just 32. Always afraid and always bereft of confidence.

We're just unlucky with the crop of veterans we have at the club. None of them deserve to be here anymore.
