Vincent Aboubakar has set new record following Cameroon’s victory against wasteful Burkina Faso in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Vincent Aboubakar was on the spotlight as Cameroon finished third at the AFCON on Saturday after wiping out a three-goal deficit against Burkina Faso to win 5-3 on penalties.

Aboubakar made history after netting brace in the thrilling match that saw his side emerged victorious after coming back from behind to set one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the tournament.

The 30-year-old has now surpassed the record of Egypt’s Hossam Hassan and South Africa’s Benni McCarthy at AFCON 1998.
