I think at this point, Nigerians and APC supporters should just wait for APC to do their mago Mago.
And for tinubu's supporters, don't rejoice yet, this northerners might just have another plan. No doubt tinubu played a major role in the emergence of buhari as President, but if buhari chooses to pay him with betrayal he should take it in good faith and retire from politics or remain in Lagos as a king maker.
But the west should learn from history not not to trust the north again.

Where is the much vaunted internal democracy if a single individual would decide for a political party its choice of presidential candidate?

Are u not seeing Northerners queuing up to contest in PDP. If APC looses due to imposition of Amechi, North wins in PDP. All that matters to North is power irrespective of which party they get it from. Southerners are jokers.

If the travails of Awolowo, MKO Abiola and now apparently Tinubu in the hands of Northern Machiavellian political establishment has not thought my South West people lesson on how to deal with the North, nothing else would.
