Deuteronomy 21:18-21 18 If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, 19 his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. 20 They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” 21 Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid. But Jesus said: “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. Mat 5:17 So how did Jesus fulfil the verse above? |

cornelboy:NO! My brother, please he needs to be cleared of any reasonable doubt of whatever question may come up into his heart. So even if he refused to see reasons with the truth he can't deprive honest hearted and sincere followers from seeing the light in our Master, Lord and King Christ Jesus! @ AntiChristian. This is the answer to your question. God brought the Israelites out of Egypt with a mighty harm and gave them victory over the inhabitants of Canaan so He has every right to impose on them His rules on the land where He got for them. That's why He said any of their children who chose to rebel against the laws he gave them must be killed through the confession of his parents. But the Israelites lost the privilege of being God's people forever so God condemned their nation and His spirit left their land. Now God is no more forcing His rules on any nation since they settled where they are on their own {John 4:22-24} He didn't fight for any nation to secure any portion for them so His worshipers now are the ones who chose to be His own people willingly not under compulsion! Therefore if any child born to a Christian family decides to be a rebel, they have no right under the human constitution to kill such a child but they have the moral right to shun such a rebel! Romans 16:17; 2John 1:10-11 May you have PEACE! ![]() |

The stupid one is one who believes he's being controlled by one holy spirit yet keeps calling someone stupid!Did I ever confess to you that I'm baptized with the holy spirit ![]() Where did Jesus said no more more an eye for an eye?Matthew 5:38-47 [38]“You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ [39]But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also. [40]If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat, too. [41]If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles. [42]Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from those who want to borrow. [43]“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. [44]But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! [45]In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. [46]If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. [47]If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. ![]() Jesus said: Jesus didn't free her. He mentioned that those accusing her are also not free of sins!Jesus ended the old covenant and started the new covenant through his sacrificial death. Jesus told her to go and sin more. That's the message Jehovah God brought to us through Jesus ![]() John 8:10-11 [10]Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” [11]“No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”----------

There are cases where Jesus and his disciples didn't observe the law ![]() |

cornelboy:So why did Jesus mentions following the same commandment here in Mat 19:16-19 16 A man came to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to have eternal life?” 17 Jesus answered, “Why do you ask me about what is good? Only God is good. But if you want to have eternal life, obey the law’s commands.” 18 The man asked, “Which ones?” Jesus answered, “‘You must not murder anyone, you must not commit adultery, you must not steal, you must not tell lies about others, 19 you must respect your father and mother,’[a] and ‘love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.’” |
