They will start telling you there are billions of Yoruba in the South East. But the fact is, unless if you are transferred, nobody wants to go there.
the only sets of non-igbos you will see in Igbo land are either in police soldier or prisons.

There are probably as many Hausas in the East now as there are Igbos in the North. While Igbos are no longer moving to the North to live like they used to in the past, Northerners on the other hand are now moving down East in large numbers. And I'm not talking about fruit sellers, gate men and shoe menders but faily rich ones. I have several of them as clients. One recently brought his wife down here and she doesn't understand any word in English. I usually see others in banks too making transactions. A Hausa woman who is my client too saw me in my car in traffic and was greeting me and I responded respectfully too. One thing I like about the ones here in the East is their easy going nature and friendliness which makes me wonder why we don't get along nationally.
lies. Ibos are everywhere and that's just because your land is inhospitable

People hardly move to the southeast for jobs because the informal sector dominates their economy.

Corporate organisations are few but traders are everywhere due to the decades of the apprentice system practiced in the east.

There are jobs in the construction and hospitality industry there though, Igboman love to build and groove.

The truth is that there is high competition in the east. If you are not good in business or highly educated/smart you can't survive there. East is not area you go to test run a business, if you try it before the next day you will find people who have better idea than you. If not for insecurities, it's advisable for one to travel round Nigeria and see things. From what I have observed, it's only people who live in messed up areas that tend to insult/troll the Eastern region/Igbo people. People just use nairaland to while away time while waiting for next 2023 to see if things goes for the better. But the funny thing, a lot of messed up people will still vote in misfits just to pepper the Igbos. Smh

When a rusted roof, mud house dweller from obomoso makes an ignorant comment, informed people will only shake their heads. The number of hausas, yorubas, Cameroonians and Togo people etc in Owerri alone is mind boggling. Ask building contractors and pop people how far? What about the hundreds of yoruba girls moving down to the East on a daily basis to hawk agbo concussion? On Fridays alone, the number of Northerners that will flocking along the road in their babanriga will make you wonder if you're in Kano. But if you think the educated ones will stand any chance contesting for jobs in a region that has massive graduate turn over annually then it shows you're dumb.

More cocktale blues for your Igbo God. Is this what you compare with the numerous number of Ekenedilichukwu GID n others that will departing Igbo land with refugees to dump them across other Nigerian state in the West n North ?

How do you compare that to the multitude of of Igbos selling gala wire okrika here in Oshgbo where I work.

The Igbo region which is the eastern part of Nigeria has many potentials, opportunities, wealth, etc. Yet the igbo region is not a migration destination for Nigerians from other regions.

In summary why are Nigerians from other regions not migrating to the eastern part of Nigeria for work, money etc, the way the easterners migrate to other regions?

Are Nigerians scared of the east?

Is there an eastern phobia/ Igbo phobia in the country?
I have been observing this trend for a long.

I stand to be corrected.

That Region is tiny, unsafe and underdeveloped. I presently live in Owerri, but I spend only 3 days in a week here. The 3 days are usually like one month.

When you come to the East, you will notice the reason, Igbo people prefer the North, West and South South compared to their region. The only thing that keeps me going here is their women. They are ready to play with any man with as little as 5 hundred.

What you need to know is that igbos are hardworking people who love hunting for business opportunities unlike the uneducated aboki who love to be used in elections by the authoritarians of this nation.

How many lgbos will u find in those places when even locals are fleeing. The only available jobs are civil service and sole traders that why you see shops every where. Oshogbo that doesn't even resemble a capital so devoid of hustle and bustle of a city. Ado ekiti is even worse. Akure is no different from oshogbo. Even onitsha has more bank branches than oshogbo, ado ekiti, akure etc.
Save for industrial estate in otta, agbara, sango abeokuta is a village. Going from agbara towards otta u won't believe ur eyes. Jobless Yoruba youth everywhere wearing coloured socks and pam sandal. Spotting dreadlock, quarter jeans with no direction.

Where is the sense and wisdom on migrating to poor and unproductive villages in the SE for anything?

SE people sef save money to get on the next ekenedilishuku bus to run away from that region.

The East is already filled to the brim with Aboki.

All tricycle and okada riders even in the villages now are aboki. All construction engineers, traditional wears tailors and agbo sellers in the east are Yoruba.

Personally, i don't think its a bad thing. Let people learn about their fellow countrymen. When the children of these abokis grow up in the East and speak Igbo language, they will see that the Igbo people they are told by their parents and uncles as being " bad" are just normal decent people like everyone.

What did you build in Lagos State. The federal capital was Lagos island, the rest after the bridge from Apapa to ikeja, ikoridu,Epe, mushin, ilupeju, and so on we're all Western region.

Industries made Lagos State the commercial capital and all the industries were on the mainland aka Western region, not Lagos State.

Btw, if they haven't repeated the same thing in other Yoruba states, then why are your people deserting your ibo towns and villages to look for your daily bread in Oyo State, Ogun, Osun and Ekiti, doing Eze indigo all over the place? Why?

Rubbish. As fct and fg investment in airport, sea ports, power lines, roads, bridges. Automatically that is a magnet for all foreign embassies, stock exchange, govt buildings, banks, insurance hq, hundreds of thousands of of govt employees, thousands of foreigners, lebanese, indians etc, thousands of industries etc.

Without which lagos will be like any other Yoruba state. If yorubas claim otherwise why is the remaining 5 states not like lagos. Even ogun that is proximity, only sango, otta and abeokuta has any resemblance of life. Others nothing.

Stop deluding urself the number of lgbos in the remaining 5 states are not up to 2000. Apart from civil service, fuel station, pure water and bread production which is also available in 36 states, wat else is there to special about those places.

Even onitsha makes ado ekiti, oshogbo and akure look like a terrible joke.
