You really need to spend a long time and take a good, deep look at yourself. There is a lot you need to work on.

This guy did not come on here to brag about being a "polithiefcian", or about his ill gotten wealth or material possessions. He came on here to display his pride in doing an honest work from which he earns a living.

I am might proud of him and I am proud of his accomplishments doing a legitimate hustle. I hope more Nigerians will be proud of their honest, legitimate hard work and are happy to celebrate their professions. Are you a Carpenter, Mechanic, Farmer, Day Labourer, Driver, Office Clerk, Market Woman, Accountant, Medical Personnel or whatever else? What is important is that you love what you do, you do not steal from it and you do it with all your heart!

I am a Chartered Accountant. I run an IT business focused on Cloud Technology and Cloud Security. It is a legitimate hustle. I have never stolen from anyone in my life, whether at work or otherwise. I have never taken a bribe. Yes, I am mighty proud of it.

If there is anything Nigerians need to brag about right now, it is our legitimate hustle, no matter how small that may look in the eyes of others. We have become a generation of criminals in all sphere and hue. Those of us who still do what is right ought to shout it to the rooftops, so that others coming along will realise that you don't need to take to what is wrong before you can put food on your table, have a shirt on your back and live a decent life.

It is very inappropirate and almost offensive to use high fallutin words, full of fury but signifying nothing, to malign an individual displaying his pride at his work accomplishments.

I wish the OP a happy and fruitful life. Most importantly, stay the path of honest, diligent work, free of the rampant greed that has enveloped that country. It is but a very short life!

Okay we get the message: you're an aeronautical engineer, we are so wowed cos thats the most high sounding profession we used to hear growing up.
Nigerians and bragging, you couldn't simply have said you were celebrating your birthday like every other person, you had to add your profession to it.
A nation of braggarts, everyone wants to brag about degree certificates, professions, traveling abroad and other meaningless stuff.
Vapid low self esteem population.
