According to the Nigerian law, the only way to escape extradition is to be accused of another crime. For the Nigerian government to go to this length just to protect a criminal, it shows how deeply deteriorated the system is. I implore the US government to intervene and extract the criminal. Nigeria will not be able to do anything at that time. This thing is all staged so that he is not extradited.

If Abba Kyari is extradited he will bring down a battalion of crooks in the country and will sing like a canary to get a reduced sentence.

There are other ways to escape FBI not this foolish move

According to section 3 of the Extradition Act which places restrictions on extradition, it provides:

f. A fugitive criminal- (a) who has been charged with an offence under the law of Nigeria or any part thereof, not being the offence for which his surrender is sought; or (b) who is serving a sentence imposed in respect of any such offence by a court in Nigeria, shall not be surrendered until such a time as he has been discharged whether by acquittal or on the expiration of his sentence or otherwise.

The above is simple. It is after the fugitive has finished serving a sentence for a different offence or has been acquitted that he/she can be extradited.
Drug offences do not have stiffer punishments. So all these conspiracy theories based on the law is ridiculous.

If Abba Kyari is found guilty of drug trafficking by the court, he will be sentenced. After serving his sentence, nothing according to the law stops him from being extradited.
