Ondo kidnappers Sleep Off, Abducted Community Leader Escapes

A community leader in Igasi Akoko in the Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Chief Ojo Ajaguna, who was reportedly kidnapped by gunmen on Friday, has regained his freedom.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Ajaguna fled the kidnappers’ den after the hoodlums slept off.

A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said people in the community were sad when Ajaguna was abducted.

He noted that there was celebration in the town after news filtered in that he escaped.

“The victim regained his freedom when the assailants slept off in the forest. The entire Igasi Akoko community was agog when he came back,” he stated.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the development.

The PPRO said, “Yes, it was reported to us that the victim was abducted, but he came back home safely and we have commenced investigation into the matter.”

I'm happy he regained his freedom back through what appears to be miracle. But the sad thing is this, "they (the kidnappers) may still come back for him, re-kidnap him again and still succeed" embarassed

That tells you the pitiable situation we find ourselves in this country.

You are not far from the truth. Unfortunately that's the new normal in APC Naija. Even IGP is not exonerated from abating criminals. Naija is in the hands of corruption.

It's an insult that kidnapping is thriving in Akokoland. We're known to be warriors whose lands were never overwhelmed by intruders, suddenly armed robbers, kidnappers and fulani murderers are now having their ways.
Ìkàré Àkókó, Irun Akoko, Okeagbe Akoko, Arigidi Akoko, Ogbagi Akoko, Afin Akoko, Ese Akoko, Erusu Akoko, Ugbe Akoko, Iboropa Akoko, Ikun Akoko, Oka Akoko, Ajowa Akoko and all other Akokoland should reawake and reassert our power and wade off these intruders, our lands shouldn't be taken over by murderers, when we have divine power and backings to kill them.

God really intervened in his case by sending the kidnappers to sleep.Thank God for his life and safety.
Sometimes people malign God for telling the Israelites to put to death certain categories of wicked people which include kidnappers.
But they fail to understand why God made such decrees.
