The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has zoned its party Chairmanship to the North ahead of the national convention slated for March 26.

This was made public on Tuesday, shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari met with all the APC Governors to discuss modalities for its upcoming Convention.

Speaking after the meeting, Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-rufai told journalists in the state house; “We have agreed a zoning formula for all the six geopolitical zones and essentially, we swapped. Northern zones will take positions that Southern zones had in the last eight years and vice versa.
