A woman and her three kids have died in a house fire.

The fire broke out in their home in Kaduna state at midnight on Monday Feb. 21, 2022.

Emilia Philips and her three children were burnt to death in their sleep.

This comes just six months after Emilia lost her husband, Sunday Philip.

He slumped and died in August 2021.

May their souls rest in peace.

What I don't understand is how sb will be sleeping and fire will be burning them without their knowledge. I don't really understand. Were they drugged? Is it suicide? Or is it an assailant’s card?

It's painful to lose such beautiful family in a period of seven months.

I think the smoke coming out from the fire killed/paralyzed them first (just the way generator fumes do)

Breathing in even small amounts of smoke and toxic gas can make you drowsy, disoriented, and short of breath.

Many people die from lack of oxygen before fire reaches a room because it sucks all of the oxygen out of the room, replacing it with smoke and toxic gas.

Each time i read stories like this it reminds me, that my case is less of what people go through.
