Also, a lot of people prefer to focus on what is happening in Aso Rock than they do in their home state...a holdover from army rule days when things were a lot more centralised.

Then there is the fact that really it is easier and safer to critique Aso Rock....than it is to critique the governor. A critic of aso rock who gets arrested gets a lot of publicity. A critic of the state governor gets jailed , and no one cares.

Finally, education means that people migrate to the big city and forget about local concerns.
