No matter my bias on gold, I won't take dat trade unless GU is doing d opposite. This my entry checkpoint has saved me a lot. A strong short on gold was confirmed yesterday but was quickly rejected by the strong bullish H4 candle which confirmed the continuation of bulls from the D1 and W1, the jump/gap in today's gold open further emphasized that a big momentum exists on gold in the uptrend thus reaffirming that of D1 and W1.

Though D1 shows long is exhausted and overbought but irrelevant as stochastic is being humbled and crumbled. I would long from H4 with about 75pips sl and say 250pips TP.

The weekly candles look scary. I will first wait to see a 4h reversal candle and then possible a retest and then reversal candle again to think buy have a chance. Sitting aside to see how the event unfolds. It appeared also that the US stock mkt is preparing for a fall. And the Russia-Ukraine war will be the excuse fundamentally. The fundamental going into the week calls for caution with index.
