The exposed Nigerian super cop plus this exposed Nigerian Mr integrity were once celebrated and defended by Nigerians.
These 2 criminals teach us that the more you look the less you see.
All those who are in top positions that you rated highly have numerous skeletons in their cupboards. 95 percent of them

I hope all those who always get decieved or decieve others that "this is Nigeria, anything goes" have recieved this memo.

When you do laulau and get into trouble with the law, people will abandon you! Where are all those flocking around him then when he was the Chairman , ex-this ex-that. Shiorr.

The best thing is to do the right thing. Even if you must suffer, it is better it is for doing the right thing.
Farouk Lawan is a goner and disgraced forever.

Criminality seems like a way of life in Nigeria. Until you are caught you pretend to be a saint.

Who will believe Farouk Lawan demanded and accept bribe? Just like DCP Abba Kyari, many people in position of power in Nigeria are greedy - both past and present?

Our judiciary is a mess. The case is nearly 10years old but his sentence is 5years max, how does this make sense? Asides the fact that it's a slap on the wrist for stealing money, why go through all that trouble just to give him a silly sentence? angry angry

Farouk Lawan a classroom teacher until 2003 when he won election as Rep is who you are claiming to be a major player in downstream sector . Did you fall into trance to get this revelation. It is amazing how stories get cooked up by folks.
Femi Otedola's close friend how? Never in the same league.. He only abuse his position as Chsirnsn of oversight committee on the downstream sector of oil.
festacman:
Farouk Lawan consulted Femi Otedola on a probe his House Committee was doing because they were close friends and he was also an experienced operator in downstream oil sector. He felt comfortable around Otedola not knowing that Otedola was representing Obasanjo's interests in African Petroleum PLC.

Obasanjo saw this as an opportunity to pay back to Farouk Lawan for his stubborn opposition when he was in power. He told Otedola to express readiness to pay to have his company's name taken off a blacklist, involve DSS and turn the whole thing into a sting operation to nail Farouk.

Otedola agreed and betrayed his close friend Farouk for the revenge mission of his godfather Obasanjo. He should have tipped him off but he made him walk into a trap by making him feel COMFORTABLE in committing a crime and being recorded.

Thus, day became night for Farouk. The tag of Mr. Integrity was scrubbed off for the tag of corrupt lawmaker. His political career died. His political associates abandoned him for a lonely legal journey. He ended up a prisoner.

Dog eat dog ...
