There have been several rumors of my president, able and amiable GEJ to come back and complete his remaining 4 years in office. This is highly welcomed. It is his inalienable right and constitutional entitlement to so do. Jonathan is arguably the best thing to have happened to Nigeria and should be encouraged to come back and hold office, even if it is just for 4 years. All those now advising him not to return are doing so for selfish reasons and do not mean well for the South-South nor do they mean well for Nigerians. Jonathan has very important assignments to complete and 4 years is enough to do that. One is to revive the 2014 Constitutional Conference report and implement the salient issues that have created wide and unacceptable social disturbances amongst ethnic Nigerians, who have ever lived in peace with each other before 2015. Jonathan is free like every other Nigerian to run for office as president. Come 2023, win or lose, Jonathan has absolutely NOTHING to lose. He is already a president, he failed in 2015 to get re-elected, so what is he going to lose? That he would be called a failure? No, he has always been so-called by his enemies. That he would upstage the apple-cat of North-South power arrangement? No, rather he would correct it. That he has nothing to offer, no. He would rather consolidate on his achievements. A GEJ presidency is a win-win for the South and the North. He is fit, healthy, and younger than the sick old men who have made the hospitals in the UK, France, and Germany their second abode. He is the most educated and more importantly highly acceptable and respectable across Nigeria. Secondly, it is on record that the following individuals were the architect of denying GEJ his second term, namely Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, Kwankwaso, Rotimi Amaechi, Bukola Saraki, and some others who are now posturing for the 2023 Presidency connived to deprive Jonathan of his second term in office. These individuals and their supporters are the ones now asking Jonathan not to denigrate himself by joining APC. The reason why these individuals are voicing their dissents is not far-fetched, purely selfish personal ambition. Since they halted Jonathan's beautiful drive, it is also important that Jonathan help to end their own political ambitions. As for those arguing that GEJ would have only 4 years to hold office and hence short-change the South come 2023. The question is where were they when the Tinubus, Amaechi's, etc joined forces to truncate South's 8 years in 2014? Did they suddenly realize that the South needed to have 8 years instead of four years that GEJ held office? They are only speaking with a deceitful heart. Let us go down memory lane a bit. By 2023, Nigeria would have had 24 years of democracy. The first 8 years were held by OBJ a southerner, then GEJ completed Yar'duas term of 6 years, thereby making South have been there for 14 years. With Buhari's 8 years and Yar'dua's 2 years, it then means that the North has only held office for 10 years. This leaves the North with 4 years short of the South's 14 years. Why is the South not willing to allow the North to complete their entitled 4 years by allowing GEJ to do 4 years, making the South hold office for 18 years come 2027, the North another 8 years to bring the equation to 18 years apiece? If we preach equity, why are we blind to how it affects others? GEJ sir, please come out and join the 2023 race under APC or PDP. Let us rebuild the broken fences and make Nigeria's economy well again. We need you, our schools need you, our social institutions need you. Our children both in formal and informal education sectors need you. Our fractured national physique needs you. The minorities both in the north and South who you offered opportunities between 2007 to 2014 need you. Our military needs you, our professionals who you harnessed and nurtured and showcased to the world like Okonjo-Iweala of the WTC, Adeniji of the ADB, Arunma Oteh, OON, a Vice President of the World Bank need you, just to mention a few. These international and global economic tzars need you to bring their respective impacts to help in the Nigerian economy out of the woods. GEJ we want and GEJ we shall get. ON GEJ'S MANDATE WE STAND!!! My plea to APC is to make GEJ their consensus presidential candidate. That way, even PDP will lose in both the South-East and South-South. I am also very sure that 60% of South-West will queue behind Jonathan. You could even feel the purse on Tweeter with the youth clamoring for his return. The best fit is what we want for 2023, not some old sick and analog folks who have read no books last since 1990 and still think that they can use their archaic brain and knowledge of the '90s acquired from questionable sources and bragging about other people's achievements. not some thieves who want to add Nigeria to their estates of monthly billions of returns. not some folks who saw the office as the opportunity to revive their dying businesses so that they can acquire more wives, not other folks who are religious bigots whose only desire is to create divisions in the name of religion. We need fresh air again, but this time around, sir you already know your enemies and your friends. You already know the thieve who tried to soil your name, you already know the key issues bedeviling our corporate existence. The cry of the marginalized, the fear of the common man. You already know the desires of every Nigerian ... PEACE! God bless Nigeria! God bless GEJ, our amiable Presisident!! Northern propaganda. Going back to their vomit just because it is the surest way to return power back to the north after four years. |

thesolutions:Did you even read this? Just rushing to comment. Whether Northern or Southern propaganda, who cares. All we need is a consensus builder and a peacemaker. The man GEJ is the choice. Bring it on. If you so much care for the southern unity, why have you not supported Igbo's ambition? |

NaijaCowFarm:I believe you are shining your 32 while typing this trash. While I will love fairness in the Nigerian polity even though I don't care about who leads this country, I will not tolerate people playing with the intelligence of others for their selfish reason. Patriotism is not selfish. |

uthlaw:Well, since you want to play dirty, let me give it to you. GEJ reign was by far better than the time Tinubu ruined Lagos with signboards on all dilapidated roads "This is Federal Govt Road ... PLS bear with Us" Whereas other states were fixing roads and collecting the cost from the Aneni-led Ministry of Works, Tinubu left Lagosians in muddy roads and complained about the Local Govt fund as if State allocations were not being paid to him. rather pocketing the money in the name of Alpha-Beta scam. |

With disdain and callousness you guys disgraced GEJ out of office thereby shortchanging the Southern opportunity. Now that you have been allowed to see the failure in the person of Buhari and with all the CHANGE mantras that yielded nothing but backwardness and with shamelessness in the whole lots of you look at what you posted. You should be ashame of yourself. APC! Change my anus! |

Felimax:Did we fail? Well, you could say that, but we now need to rebuild with GEJ. How about that? ![]() Please, support us to make Nigeria great again. We farmers and the lower class Earnestly Ask GEJ!!! ![]() Since you Southerners are so scared to micro-zone the presidency to the SE and support an Igbo man, what is wrong in supporting an Ijaw man? As for as we are consign, all are the same .. SS/SE. |
| Re: 2023: Why Jonathan Is The Best Man For The Job by thesolutions(m): 3:54pm On Feb 27, 2022 |
NaijaCowFarm:No. He is not. There is a law that prohibits any vice president or deputy governor that completes the presidents or governors mandates respectively from contesting for that position. GEJ only has a chance by argument if the law only considers any of such happening after him. |
| Re: 2023: Why Jonathan Is The Best Man For The Job by NaijaCowFarm(op): 4:10pm On Feb 27, 2022 |
thesolutions:Please, go and read it again ... the law, Act 16 does not have retrospective effect, rather fro-ward, hence does not foreclose GEJ's 2023 project. Only another constitutional revision or change to make it retrospective to the date of 1999 constitutional enactment would affect GEJ and that has not happened and it cannot happen in the current dispensation. Go and read it again, SIR!. That we are cow farmers does not mean we know nada! |
| Re: 2023: Why Jonathan Is The Best Man For The Job by thesolutions(m): 4:20pm On Feb 27, 2022 |
NaijaCowFarm:At the bolded, Because this dispensation is desperate of retaining or returning power back to the north. By the way, GEJ is not interested. I'm not his spokesperson neither are you so all we argue here are opinions that amount to nothing. But for your propaganda, I won't pretend I didn't see it. From here, it is Tinubu, Osinbajo, Emefiele, Amechi, Wike, any southerner or even Abia state governor for the seat of president. |

| Re: 2023: Why Jonathan Is The Best Man For The Job by Felimax(m): 4:36pm On Feb 27, 2022 |
NaijaCowFarm:We are not scared to support any person from SE/SS, all we are saying is GEJ is not the only man standing. If you so much desire a candidate from these regions then you must look beyond GEJ. There are people who can do far better than GEJ. You branded him a failure, called him all kinds of derogatory names. The elites among you were not left out and in less than 8 years you guys are dancing naked. You said PDP is dead and gone and less than 8 years you are clamouring for PDP in the person of GEJ to return to power all because of your selfish interest. You guys must really think the South is made up of fools. |
| Re: 2023: Why Jonathan Is The Best Man For The Job by NaijaCowFarm(op): 4:45pm On Feb 27, 2022 |
Felimax:We, the talakawas and down-trodden NEVER called GEJ a failure. It is on record that GEJ build more nomadic schools than any other president since Nigeria independent. GEJ was sincere about the fight against Boko haram. We voted Jonathan massively, but the elites from both South (Tinubus, Amaechis, etc and Atikus, Kwankwasos, Sarakis from the North rigged him out. Go back and check. While the SW were celebrating his loss, we the real talakawas and minorities were mourning because our votes in Kano, Katsina, and Bornu were manipulated. Did you trully believe the millions of votes recorded in war-torn Bornu? We supported Jonathan and will support him again and again! As to whether the South is made of fools ... well that is a story for another day. But how come the South betrayed him if you so much love South? |

NaijaCowFarm:That so called law requires a constitutional amendment . Has that happened |
| Re: 2023: Why Jonathan Is The Best Man For The Job by Felimax(m): 4:52pm On Feb 27, 2022 |
NaijaCowFarm:And that is why we said it is done and dusted with GEJ. He is a man of peace and his political ambition is not worth the life of any Nigeria. Those who said they will make the country ungovernable if they were not allowed to seize power and yet went ahead to call some region dot in the map has seen how much of a failure they can be. Now some are clamouring to fight like a pig all because it is their life long dream to be president of Nigeria as if someone is holding him not be president of Oduduwa nation. |
