Good afternoon Nairalanders,

I will keep this very simple because I want to keep a very low profile.

Sometime in 2019, I was approached by a contractor for financial assistance to enable him to complete a job he was doing for the government. He needed a short-term loan he can pay back within one to three months.

I spoke to a friend who linked me up with his dad's business partner and I was able to secure funds for the man.

The transaction was done based on trust, although we signed some documents and he provided us with two guarantors who are currently at large before the money was disbursed to him.

He made interest payments for about four months and since late 2020, he stopped picking up my calls and started to avoid me.

He was paid for the contracts he executed for the government and even went further to do other jobs which he has received payments for, but he has refused to settle the debt.

He is a highly placed individual with strong connections to the government and some highly placed persons.

I have tried every means possible including physical confrontation, legal proceedings, and spiritual consultations to recover this debt, all to no avail.

This transaction has placed my life on hold for the past two years and all my savings, plus monies I borrowed from people are stuck in this transaction.

I am seeking assistance in whatsoever capacity in recovering the debt which has accrued to almost One Hundred Million Naira (N100,000,000.00).

A certain percentage for whatever sum that is recovered will be paid as recovery fees - this we shall agree on.

I am willing to go to any length to ensure this money is recovered, my safety and that of the borrower being of utmost priority.

My lawyer (a SAN) wrote to him, his lawyer responded.

Then we sent a petition to the EFCC, they invited us to their headquarters in Abuja, we went there, wrote a statement, and since then nothing!
Guess he pulled some strings.
