You dey mind dem? Through passes are effectively balls played into space rather than directly to the feet of a player. It could be a defense-splitting pass sending a player through on goal, a simple layoff to an onrushing team mate or just playing a diagonal ball into a wide area.

The players higher up the list are playing their balls into dangerous areas, usually breaking the last line of defense. In Jorginho's case, he's just switching play to his fullback in front of a packed opposition defence rather than threading those killer passes. Hence his lack of assists.

it is simple.
bielsa spent more than simone and the success is not even comparable.
leeds ambition is to stay in the premier league, hence the investment. (they wont sack bielsa if they feel they are getting what they pay for) Athletico's ambition is to stay mid table and in laliga, thats why they are not investing but somehow simone made them elite club.
Unless, athletico starts spending like man city, I dont think they have the right to demand more from Simone.
