Ukraine Bound - Nigeria's Air Peace

Up to 5,000 Nigerians, mostly students, are to be airlifted out of the troubled European region by Nigerian airlines, Air Peace and Max Air.

Nigeria’s Federal Government will from Wednesday, March 2, 2022, start evacuating Nigerian nationals who have fled Ukraine to neighbouring countries.

Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama revealed this to the local TV station on Monday, February 28, 2022, saying President Muhammadu Buhari has approved funds for the airlines to evacuate Nigerians.

Asked when the evacuation would begin he said “Wednesday hopefully…Air Peace and Max Air.''

Onyema said there are about 8000 Nigerians in Ukraine, 5,000 of whom are students.

While briefing the House of Representatives on the evacuation efforts, the minister had earlier said over 1000 Nigerians had crossed to Romania from Ukraine.

He said, “We made Romania the hub and over a thousand Nigerians have crossed there. Poland has about 250, Budapest in Hungary has a similar number, Slovakia is rising rapidly. It is also around 200. There are some Nigerians in a place called Sumy close to the Russian border.

“I have been in touch with the ambassador. There are about 150 of them who are looking to cross into Russia and we have asked the ambassador in Russia to try and get a permit for them to transit to Russia hopefully, by Wednesday we will start deploying planes to start bringing the Nigerians,”

Are they willing to be evacuated? Nigeria is also at war on bad leadership, poverty, unemployment, inflation, electricity blackout and worst of it all,a 'lawless president.

Only about ten out of the 5000 Nigerians in those countries will board that plane to go back to Nigeria.

They are currently comfortable in Poland, Hungary and Romania.

Once the war is over they'll go back to Ukraine to complete their studies.

Which airline will dare fly a commercial plane in a war zone? ... under which insurance company? 5000 Nigerians.... mainly students will be evacuated?.... beginning tomorrow... from which airport? ... where is the meeting point?... can they get there? Later we'll hear from the airlines.... it has now become.too dangerous for us to fly in that zone..... and we won't hear about the approved money while 5000 Nigerians are left likenstrays in the bitter winter cold.

No fly-zone

This is not true.Poland,Romania and hungary will never give Africans residence to stay in their country.They will be packed in one dirty camp where 10 people will share a toilet like face me i slap you house.The food is also terrible no pepper like we are used to.Can you eat Rice and Youghurt with chicken no soup.

Safe journey home, at least the number of electorates that will fight against the Pee-Poo's leader and his urchins is swelling now...

The flight is not landing in Ukraine rather it will fly to neighboring countries where Nigerian currently flew to for rescue to evacuate them. Make we dey try use our brains
