And that is Taliban, a ragtag militia with no international support, ukrain is arguably a first world country with an established military and massive international support from all western countries.

I am sure Putin would be shocked by the kind of resistance Ukraine and Ukrainians are putting up.

Some Nairalanders that know nothing about war initially said Ukraine would surrender before Sunday 27th February.

We know Ukraine cannot stand Russia's Military. However, Ukraine and Ukrainians only need to keep resisting Russia and never surrender. Not surrendering makes them winners.

As for Putin and his Russia, the several sanctions imposed on them would cripple their economy and the economic collapse they witnessed in 1991 might just repeat itself.

I am not necessarily pro Prussia but I just choose to be more objective rather than supporting the west blindly.
1.) Firstly NATO has persistently expanded eastward thereby posing a security risk to Russia, fairness demands that u treat others the way u want to be treated. The USA strongly opposed the expansion of the former Warsaw pact to continental to neighbouring Cuba and this led to a nuclear standoff in the 80s

2.) The USA under the guise of a revolution undertook a regime change in ukrain which led to the ousting of a pro Russian regime and the subsequent breakaway of the mostly Russian speaking region of ukrain.

3.) The Ukrainian govt blantantly refused to implement the minsk agreement which was supposed to end the crisis in Donbass.
