I didnt want to go into details about glycemic issue. You are right about high starch content of cassava. Do you even know that apart from that cassava is deadly? Why? Look at the content of cyanide in garri. Also, GMO seeds arent doing human good. Most grains are not good cos most are GMO. Anyway, science is moving away from GMO as newer methods are deployed but majority are still GMOS. But there is a way to make grains good. It is FERMENTATION. It is why I put fermentation in all the food. Even the stone man fermented his meat. If I buy yellow garri, I make sure it is fermented for 7 good days before palm oil is mixed with it. And their glycemic index is reduced too. I do not buy corn flour whenever I am abroad. If I do, I remove the whole pack and ferment for 2 good week and then dry it again. But the wahala is too much, so, I find alternatives. If you want to live long, learn how to eat fermented food. It is good for the flora in your gut, removes poisons in food, and also adjust glycemic index of food. You can consume amala, garri (sour taste), fufu (sour), yam (not high), even sweet potato is by high if you dont peel it, etc. Consume them as you want, nothing will spike your blood sugar level. Just know what to eat and how to prepare them. Most processed food are dangerous to health.

I will repeat it... noodles are the worst set of food for humans. They should be banned. Very terrible food for human. Poison.

Just soak inside water. As soon as it has that sour taste, it is fermented. Try it... put any grain in water and seal it up. Check it the following morning and you will notice gas on top. Open it and let the gas escape else there might be an explosion or the lid will open forcefully. Fermentation is all about breaking food down. Some bad things will be washed off and some are turned to a gaseous state which evaporates as soon as you open the lid.

There are bacteria used for fermentation too. Like milk...you ferment with such. I make my yogurt myself. In fact, I used to use cow milk, but I have changed to soy, and it is so good. I have a yogurt machine. I drink palm wine too when I can....and I take a drink called kvass. I make it also myself. Actually, Kvass is fermented wheat (from roasted bread).

Colon cancer is one of the deadliest, but if we eat right, we can prevent it. I cannot be a friend of a Nigerian caterer. Never. Cos they defend unhealthy dishes with passion. Another killer is Bullion cubes (Maggi) - Msg is bad. Terrible. But they will defend it. When I see people eating noodles with eggs, I shake my head.

I grow my chickens and produce my eggs. I don't want chemical chickens and eggs...if you know what those chickens are fed...you will stop it. I don't argue with anyone. It is why people die. But they will keep defending it. I don't argue. My father is well over 80, and going to 90...still very healthy. He can still drive himself, but he decided to stop. But yesterday, he drove himself to get fuel....very close to 90.

Another thing is water. I imported a super special filter of different stages....removes salt carbon chlorine, etc. And then the water passes through different rocks to add minerals to it...spring water....and then, pass through UV to kill germs. Super water. Its quality is better than Dasani water (Cocacola US water brand). Eva is a childish play.

Take care of your health. The food we eat and the drinks we take in, are medicines.

impressive!!! The key to a healthy living is MOSTLY in WHAT WE EAT!! So-called technological advances have really wreak havoc on our foods: in the olden days, there weren't all this unnecessary sophistication in food processing and food modifications....hence the incidences of diabetes, cancer, hypertension etc were quite rare. Nowadays, we microwave foods, eat a lot of junks in the name of snacks, process almost all foods until the nutrients are stripped away...we take sugared drinks and use artificial sweeteners and artificial seasoning cubes!! The meats we eat are laden with chemicals from feeds and medications. It's quite unfortunate. God gave us natural foods but man through science has decided to 'spoil' the naturalized foods. Look at butter for instance: butter is very natural fat which is actually not bad when eaten but people will rather eat margarine, which is in fact hydrogen-hardened oil, and is VERY VERY unhealthy.
I am very interested in learning more about kvass. It's my first time hearing of it.

I am very interested in learning more about kvass. It's my first time hearing of it.

It's a traditional Russian drink packed with probiotics. You can check it on YouTube. There are many versions there. I usually add beets to mine.

Another one I drink is Sobo drink. I am still trying to see how best to produce the fermented version. I cant drink it outside cos I know the ones out there are packed with processed sugar.

Do know people who die faster? Those hustlers in the sun. They wake up with processed rice and anything; worn themselves out hustling in the sun, and then kill themselves more eating gala with carbonated drinks in the afternoon. At night, they settle it all with noodles and boiled eggs from Mei Chai...or Sharwama with those crazy white mayonnaise...damn.... Na dem dey first represent human race in after-life.

Anyone wise would have cut off wheat from his diet a long time. Fast way to 6 ft - bread, macaroni, semovita, spaghetti... noodles brands are the worst. Poisons. Hmmmm! Poor man's food are poisons. But they won't listen. Hunger is bad.

People should go for fermented cassava - garri, fufu, etc... fermented yam - amala and whatever, brown rice (ofada), good food from Calabar and Akwa Ibom, sea foods, fresh palm oil from Calabar, fresh vegetables, fermented corn starch/flour, yorghut, home made tofu from soy beans, etc. Also, Miyan Kuka is excellent..but one should adjust it based on its local grain (cut out wheat).
