mrvitalis:So that IPOB’s foot soldiers will go and destroy his investment one day because he is not supporting Biafra? IPOB doesn’t know the fame he they are doing to SE’s economy. Besides the said Mobil’s facilities is in SS, so no much difference if Seplat acquires it. |

Nnpc is interested in the asset and that's the main issue here..... But thing is, they are really not the interested party but just trying to use their influence and government money to secure the asset..... And as time goes on the real owners will show up when ready and nnpc will stylishly sell the asset to them. Naija corruption way. |

If it's Dangote now or any other Northern Muslim, they will sell it to him on a platter. Seplat should not pay a Kobo extra. There are many African countries now producing crude oil that would appreciate Seplats investments. They should give it to NNPC or hurriedly form a quack Northern company to buy it, it would still be a matter of time before they ruin it just like they did on others. Bastardized country ruled by demonic cabals, it was also due to hate and wickedness to frustrate Igbos that made them to sell assets Geometric Energy owned by Barth Nnaji had already secured to Emeka Offor which frustrated Barth Nnaji for many years and stopped Aba from benefitting from it until he had to pay another $5 million! They should continue their shenanigans but Igbos are carefully watching. |

NNPC management is absolutely brilliant with this manner they blocked the unethical manner Exxonmobil wanted to cash out again. Awon Ole!! They must think we are fools. It is absolute masterstroke and patriotic! NNPC just saved the Shareholders of Seplat and I congratulate them. NNPC management will get into trouble if it did not raise these fundamental conditions before IOC cashes out like it did with Oando and landed Oando in trouble. It is exactly a decade since same IOCs used this same ahistorically grotesque format then to cash out with Oando. Till date , Oando is yet to recover and the shareholders of Oando, till date, feeling utterly disgusted and defrauded. That horrible episode must never be allowed to be repeated. These are overpriced assets and they are cashing out big time yet Seplat wants to go and borrow to fund an overpriced $1.5 billion capital flight. On Seplat, I believe that its subsequent share price rally on the account of the news of its purported and inchoate acquisition of MNP assets is unfortunate and may be premeditated because they were too hasty in announcing it .NGX did not help investors by publishing it when Seplat was yet to get the approval of the Minister and a no objection from NNPC. Tomorrow,I see investors rushing out of Seplat and it will cause serious losses to those investors who bought Seplat shares on account of that news. SEC and NGx should actually investigate Seplat on this issue. If you are an investor, next time think twice before making an investment decision on account of coporate action from Seplat. Like Seplat like Oando. Here's free book on business ideas & money sources directory for you,it's 100% free! https://www.nairaland.com/6666800/looking-business-ideas-money-fund. Cheers. |

FreeStuffsNG:Oando problem stemmed from the dubious nature of the the founders and nothing more ..Oando was just a vehicle to scam investors |

SarkinYarki:“We will not end the 2012 situation in Nigeria; it will be done in a manner that brings value to Nigeria,” said Kyari at a panel session during the Nigerian International Energy Summit in Abuja on Tuesday. Same thing is/was loading in Seplat!! Thank God for the vigilance of patriotic Nigerians and Mele Kyari's eagle eyes. The Chairman of Seplat is so heavily indebted that banks know him as a serial chronic debtor! He is obviously reading from the playbook of the Oando guys. This is the most horrible time to buy an oil and gas asset and Seplat knows but they are actively hands in glove with folks on the mobil side and it is time that EFCC investigates these Mobil guys. EFCC must henceforth investigate this kind of deals because they have grave economic implications. The NGX and SEC that should be protecting investors are once again caught napping. I think it is either they are incompetent or inexperienced or outrightly unpatriotic if they are caught napping again. This is fraud and economic sabotage!!! Oil was high when Oando allegedly connived with same IOCs then to send the company Oando into humongous debt which left the shareholders of Oando defrauded as their shareprice crashed from over N100 to less than N2 yet Conocophillips and their collaborators in Oando Management cashed out!! The shareholders were sent to hell. Seplat is attempting to do far worse and I urge FG to please save Nigerians from the corrupt mobil and their unpatriotic Nigerian collaborators. This is what the possibly corrupt managment of Seplat wants to do . Oil will not remain at over $100 for ever and if they really want to buy they should have bought when oil was around $20 or wait until it crashes. Shale oil drillers in the US have resisted the urge to go borrow money because of this serious caution . A Seplat currently owing over $240m still going to buy a $1.5billion asset on credit(debt) in the middle of an unsual and temporary oil rally is either plain wickedness to shareholders of seplat or sheer madness and complete bunkum. Seplat is swimming in debt and want to sink more so that shareholders can lose all their lifetime investment and then ABC and his goons in mobil can cash out abi? Lailai!! Mobil should be stopped and the ripping off of Nigerians should be resisted. I keep saying it that there are still Patriots in this land and we must keep praying for them. Thank God for those patriots who stood up . May God bless them and their families. All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose. God bless Nigeria for ever. NNPC AND SEPLAT STORIES, hmm. In 2020, Kyari representing NNPC, Orjiakor representing SEPLAT, Sylva representing Petroleum ministry, and Uzodinma representing Imo state government, these people laid the foundation block for what they called a $2 million National Infectious Diseases Hospital for the Southeast zone at Imo state University teaching hospital in Orlu. They said the project would be completed in less than a year. After the foundation laying ceremony, no block has been added to the foundation till today. It's worrisome. |

| Re: NNPC Blocks Sale Of Mobil Assets To Seplat by Nobody: 5:18am On Mar 04, 2022 |
This headline is another mischievous headline. The NNPC doesn't have the power to block the sale only the minister of petroleum, and the bone of contention is the well abandonment process. |
| Re: NNPC Blocks Sale Of Mobil Assets To Seplat by Nobody: 5:24am On Mar 04, 2022 |
FreeStuffsNG:You just typed a beautiful nonsense here. first of all NNPC has no powers to block the sale except the minister of petroleum. Again what Kyari was making reference to is the well abandonment costs as most local players when they take over do not have the means to carry out well abandonment. He is advocating that IOCs address the issue of well abandonment before wrapping up sales of assets. |
