A woman can become president of Nigeria where most of the women in a large region of Nigeria are kept in purda, harems, and are put in burqa if they must go out?

You are not telling even yourself the truth.

Gender equality is a deliberate action. The women are already outnumbered politically. The government must first reserve such numbers or seat for women before we can talk about equality. We can't be equal when the stats and resources are not equally distributed and the odds are stacked against our women.

Gender equality isn't a concept one should discuss in Nigeria. What is equality when a certain group/gender are asking for undeserved privilages? The field is already levelled for both genders to thrive in Nigeria, there's no existence of any law in the land that inhibits women from seeking for political positions, we have ministers, senators, local government chairladys, councillors, commissioners, etc that are women what then are they seeking for in a bill thats purely gender discriminatory against men? Political correctness is something i don't fancy as a person because it relegates competence and promotes mediocrity. Wike is just Stupid.

you're right... Only that you're wrong when you said it's practiced already in Nigeria! Anywhere it's practiced, the issue of dowry and bride price become null. This means, two adult lovers can agree to marry without parent consent but before witnesses. No one will pay to buy another. So, he actually doesn't know what gender inequality entails. I think he's thinking it's what you think it is, but doesn't know it's more than that. It also means a woman is entitled to inheritance like a first son where there's no written will. It means a lot, man!

Providing special seat for women??
If they want gender equality, then they should also provide special number of seats for the men.
Then throw the rest open.

Now, which constituencies would like to be gender-slotted??
Like, would the various constituencies be alternating the gender compulsorily every term??
