The US would have done better to keep out of Afghanistan because 'it had Osama'. After all, the USA has not invaded Russia to capture Snowden, who in essence is guilty of treason against the USA, nor has it invaded the UK to catch Assange, or another UK citizen who hacked into US defence servers (He was extradited to the US after the appropriate legal process).

It can also be argued that the Plaestinian anger towards Israel has more to do with Israel displacing millions of Plaestinians when the modern state of Israel was formed. (and no, saying that does not mean I tolerate Palestinian terrorisim).
