State Of Nigeria In 2050? Is A Dubai Possible In Nigeria? by JonOfAustrlia(op): 10:09pm On Mar 05, 2022
Hey everyone,

I have been following the news of Nigeria. Im a foreigner but I would love to see the place turn into like a Dubai or have major cities like China.

Rmemeber Europeans had nothing 200 years ago. Could barely wash themselves. Had wooden teeth.

Why cant Nigeria do the same? I think they can I Think they are intelligent people that focus on the wrong things. If only they can collectively focus for progress then they can have 5 dubais.

Why not when theres no weather disasters, malaria vaccine is on the way and people are becoming more educated.

What so you think can we see a developed Nigeria in our life time?

I hope so.

When I visited it made me sick to see so much poverty over such stupid things like the card machine not working, people building churches but not hospitals, pensions not being paid but politicians buying the newest handbags abroad. These are really small things that can be fixed. I understand the energy problem is that theres a large population and energy resources are not managed properly. But if everyone just got solar panels it would be like having constant Nepa.

When I look at Nigerian women at the markets I see planners with finely done hair that took 10 hours to do. Someone precisely sat there with patience weeving such beautiful creations for a full work day, imagine if all the women gathered with that skill of precise weave making and used it for 5 days a week to build power lines? More electricity more cold goods for the local village markets.

I know Nigerians are smart but they are not focused they live in a dog eat dog world. Its so stupid that they do that and thats why God curses them with poverty
When it rains it doesnt rain on one mans house! Once they realize this they can redirect their focus and finally there can be paradises in Nigeria for all.

Which dubai?

After the division of Nigeria, the Northern half together with their possible partners in the west will be dragging bottom place with Yemen.

yeah the north but what about coastal cities or places like Port Hartcourt, Akwa Ibom and Calabar? They can clean up the place really. Its peaceful besides crime but crime can be solved with good governance. I believe there is an untapped power.

For nigeria to be great, it would take a lot of brain power and willingness from both the leaders and citizens. Security, education and a healthy economy are key.

What country are YOU from? Australia?

What is your business with Nigeria, or you don't have enough problems in your own country, with China breathing down your neck?

Where will YOUR country be in 2050?

Have you stopped oppressing and victimising the Aborigines and other racial minorities there?

YOU are dead, you mean.

Nigeria is well and truly alive, and doesn't notice your existence, thankfully.

yeah we have wild fires. And huge spiders that eat birds! What the hell m8! And what is up with them damn rabbits. We have rabbits that keep reproducing like crazy.

U judge in order not to think i have seen. You are deflecting. Once you come to peace with the points made objectively, you will advance yourself and others around you. I wish you peace and healing i understand you are pained because you know I am telling the truth and holding the people of Nigeria accountable. Its called tough love and I tell the truth to Nigetiand because I think they can be great God bless you.

It is possible, after all South Korea did it, why can't we? But as a realist, I'm not so optimistic. My people are largely uneducated and for many who aren't, they are bias to a blinding fault. So seeing the big picture isn't part of their skill set.
