The US and NATO knew it was just s matter of time before Putin would invade Ukraine,Putin was predictable, So US and NATO carefully planned the Economic sanctions and arming of Ukrainians and setting up militant groups and sending mercenaries into Ukraine .

Ukraine loses in the end. I don't understand why Zellensky hasn't understood that the US is just using him to destabilise the country and region. Even after this war ends, what happens to all the people who have been armed; criminals released from prison and given guns to fight, mercenaries, people from other countries pouring into Ukraine? The country will turn into a banana country with armed gangs controlling portions of territory. Russia is doing their best to reduce damage to civilian infrastructure and if Putin chooses to go all-out, the entire Ukraine will be destroyed in a week, but that's not Putin's agenda.

In the end, the longer this fight continues, the worse it'll be for Ukraine. Zellensky should just step down if he truly loves his country. He made the mistake in the first place by going against the Minsk agreement and rejecting several invitations for dialogue from Putin before this whole thing started

From the look of things, the Russians are gaining territories. And when you look at a map, the Russians are trying to surround Ukraine; but even if you surround a country, weapons will still find a way of trickling in. Putin is going to inherit from Ukraine, an insurgency propelled by high tech weapons supplied by terrorist enablers - NATO, CIA, etc.

It would have been wise for Putin to just go for the Russian speaking regions fighting to pull out of Ukraine, it would have just been like the Crimea situation. But an outright invasion? Nah. He decided to gamble big - something different from calculated risk taking.

Putin has shown himself to be a big gambler. With big gamblers, if the gamble pays off - it's good. But if it fails - you lose everything. No doubt he will take more territories, but he won't install a new government for Ukraine, and he won't be able to handle the complexities of the insurgency he will inherit. Afghanistan(1993) will be minimal compared to Ukraine. America learnt some lessons about insurgency from Afghanistan and Iraq. They will be just happy to force Putin to learn these lessons.

NB: There will be no NATO boots on Ukrainian soil, for as long as the invasion lasts, but NATO will be the reason plenty Russian soldiers will die needlessly till the Russians end the invasion. Mercenaries from other countries and Ukrainians will be the boots on Ukrainian soil.

2. Fall of Berlin wall 1989

You've been following developments but what you/Putin is allowed to see is what you will see. In the mainstream media, NATO has no feild soldiers in Ukraine but on the ground, there are so many NATO fighters scattered round Ukraine.
