Thanks for the summary. Pls I want to confirm if you were receiving updates as your passport was going through each process or you got the whole info after completion. We submitted our passports (family of 3) via Abuja VAC on the 15th of February, got confirmation that same day that passport is in transit and till date, no other information. I've been tracking almost everyday, still the same passport is in transit.

Yes I was receiving updates.

Hey guys, quick one please. My AOR is December 8th 2020 and from my last Gcms notes medicals is passed - expired. Now because my COR is Ireland, I don’t know if it’ll be extended or not. I’m waiting for the gcms notes I ordered a few weeks ago. As at December 2021, info sharing was complete and criminality passed but eligibility and security not started even after a year lol.
So my question is should I go for an upfront Remed (costs 365 euros here sad or should I just keep waiting for an update.

Apologies for the long text and thanks

Hello guys! I want to raise a webform for an application and a friend told me a webform reduces my chances of getting a visa. And it will increase my processing time. He also said the webform needs to be resolved before they move forward with the application.

Please how true is this?

Your friend may have messaged you from the beer parlor lol . On a lighter note I dont like to disturb IRCC. I forgot to submit my IELTS report Form and sent it to them via webform. Other than that I didn't disturb them for one year till they remembered to process my application

Hello everyone!
As much as I'm trying to be patient and wait for this golden mail, I'm a bit worried. My AOR is Nov 2020 and there has been no update/change on my acct since I passed my Meds. & Biometrics. Everything is still being processed and I haven't received any ADR. I've called several times but always get the automated response and I've sent several webforms also but received just the generic mails.
Please guys, is there something I should do or should I just keep waiting??
No amount of calling can move things forward. If you are anxious apply for GCMS notes. The speed of your application depends on the visa office and the officer assigned to process your application. There is no formula. Some people have been waiting since 2019 which many of us that applied in 2021 have already submitted our passports. Some have even relocated

If your medicals shows "expired" then it literally means it has expired, lol. If they extended it, you would still see it in the GCMS note. You can either wait till they ask you for re-medicals or you do upfront.

Also my app from the last gcms notes shows secondary office - centralized intake office (I never see people say this, I mostly see things like Ottawa, Montreal, Accra etc)
My Primary office showed - London

Does this mean the app is processed in the secondary first and then passport submitted to the primary?

That's the status but could be extended at their discretion at a later date. Remed or extension isn't automatic upon medical expiration. There is time lag for that decision to be made.

Hi everyone. Please I need your kind input. My family and I just got PPR and intend to travel by June. However, my passport is expiring by October. I have started the passport renewal process and will be capturing on next week.
Now I don't know if to submit the old passtport for stamping and travel with both old and new pasaports(I don't know if this is possible) or wait till I get the new passport and submit that for stamping
My concern is that if I'm to submit the new passport, will it be an issue since ircc does not have that on file. Or will it be easy to just send ircc a copy of the new passport, so they add it to my file, and then go ahead to submit the new passport for stamping.
I'm really not sure of the next steps to take. Please kindly advice. Thank you

Submit old passport. Once your new passport comes you can attach with old to travel

Ok. Thank you for your response. Really appreciate. I was wondering that if I submit old passport, will ircc stamp it since validity will be less than 6 months by the time they are about to stamp(heard it takes about 4-6 weeks for stamping now). Will they still stamp when I send it even though validity will be less than 6 months?

Good day everyone

My husband who is the principal applicant received Adr for Imm 5406 for me and Schedule A and we filled both forms with his name as the applicant and my name as the spouse and sent it since last Monday. However he discovered a Twitter thread where irrc responded to someone that if the spouse was asked to fill IMM 5406, the spouse name should be the applicant while the primary applicant details will be filled as the spouse.

Do we refill the form and send it via webform or will the previous one still suffice because that is what we filled at the start of the application and there was no issues with it

Each of you needs to complete a form IMM5406, one with him as applicant listing his family members. Another with you as applicant listing your own family members.

Hey Everyone,

I got my PPR last week.

It’s been a rollercoaster of excitement.

So FINALLY, I’m a Permanent Resident of the great country of Canada.

Indeed, it is marvelous in the sight of God.

AOR, JAN 28th 2021 FSW
Biometrics Feb 12 2021

LONGGGG SILENCE

Fast forward to 2022
ADR and Remed request 22nd Feb 2022
Went for remedicals 24th Feb at IOM Lagos
Submitted remedicals form and other ADRs on the 25th Feb
Remedicals passed 1st of March
PPR 3rd of March
VO RROC

IT HAS FINALLY ENDED IN PRAISE!

I am in awe!
Still feels surreal, but so happy that this hurdle is passed and I can finally say GOD DID IT!

Still racists. Whether you were the first person or not to make the comment, the fact that you saw it fitting to post here is unfortunate. This thread is focused on the EE process not perpetuating the ridiculous identity politics that is ruining Western society.

Apologies for the long text and thanks

The medicals may be extended or may not be, as to whether you should do the re-med upfront, it's dependent on what you feel like doing, if for example you're still busy in Ireland and not looking to move to Canada immediately, then you might just relax and let them do their thing, and if they request you to do the medical, then you do it...I imagine for you living in Ireland, there are no queues or long waiting times to get an appointment, so you can get the medical done soon after it's requested. It's a thing of choice.
