The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said he was in continued talks with the leaders of other European countries today. He said he discussed further support with British prime minister, Boris Johnson, and peace talks with French president, Emmanuel Macron. Earlier in the day he said he spoke about peace talks with German chancellor Olaf Scholz. More than 2.3 million refugees have fled Ukraine since Russia’s invasion on 24 February, according to figures from the United Nations. UNHCR, the UN’s refugee agency, recorded 2,316,002 refugees on Thursday – 160,731 more than the previous count on Wednesday. The US commitment to the Nato alliance is “ironclad” and America is prepared to defend “every inch” of Nato territory, the US vice-president, Kamala Harris, has said. Harris was speaking at a joint news conference with the Polish president, Andrzej Duda, in Warsaw, where she is demonstrating US support for Nato’s eastern flank countries. The meeting came after the Pentagon rejected Poland’s proposal to transfer its MiG-29 fighter jets to the US for delivery to Ukraine. A Pentagon spokesperson described the plan as “not tenable” on Wednesday. Harris said: I want to be very clear. The United States and Poland are united in what we have done, and are prepared to do, to help Ukraine and the people of Ukraine, full stop. She embraced calls for an international war crimes investigation of Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, citing the “atrocities” of bombing civilians, including a children’s and maternity hospital in Mariupol on Wednesday. Wait, what's the scores now? Who is leading? Who is loosing? I have stopped watching the war.. It's becoming more boring day by day. Lately, whenever I stand Behind my window and look down, I always see kids playing, not just playing but happy as well. Can Ukrainian kids play outside this time? Are they happy? How would one explain the current Russia-Ukraine crisis to kids, would the explanation make any sense to them? For my hood, na only those who belleful dey fight. Zelensky is indeed a comedian who swallowed all the jokes of US, NATO and US. It means the past presidents of Ukraine have managed the situation well more than Zelensky who could have bent at early hour in order to avoid all this calamity. The only way to live with a mad man without an issue is not to argue, play along with him and when he is back to his senses, pass your own message. My favourite Radio station no kuku dey know if anything dey happen for Ukraine, just within 5 mins bulleting news and the gbedu resumes. No matter how long they fight this war, their body go still calm down last and last and go back to what they could have done initially, diplomatically..
